Wow! That's an awesome location. Cassidy's folks had a house on Neptune (in Encinitas) at one point and sold it many years ago as well.

Well Done! Newbies: bring money; lots of money! But seriously, don't blow your budget on beach proximity. If you cannot afford within 3 miles of the beach, you will not be in the cool weather zone for summers. "Things have changed; climate". So go further, further, a little further, affordable and no hotter than 5 miles from the beach. That's my HOT tip; see what I did there LOL You will ♥ SD county.

Great tip! It does get significantly hotter in the inland areas. 😎🌞

The absolute best beach in San Diego county is Delmar Beach on Camp Pendleton. It's wide and very clean with barbecues.

Fantastic beach for sure. I believe it is military only.

I am beginning to think that great weather, beautiful scenery = high cost of living. Market capitalism at work!

These are affluent areas of San Diego, where houses go for 2-3 million for average house

Need to put an end to the 3% for each of the realtor when selling your home or buying a home... only a matter of time to end this scam...

Videos like these never show the other side of San Diego, the less affluent neighborhoods, the homeless problem, lack of parking in downtown. San Diego just isn't beautiful, expensive beach house properties.

San Diego has a great LGBTQ community. My fiancé and I love going there for that reason. We hate the parking-there's never any! You literally have to take an Uber or Lyft to the bars. As for the beaches-not just in San Diego but all over the U.S.-they’re just eh. They’re all severely gentrified and very expensive. I didn’t truly experience a beach until I went to Mexico. It’s like night and day, with Mexico being the day-their beaches are incredible. Sorry, but our beaches here are so depressing. Back to San Diego: I love the older parts, not the newer, real estate-money-oriented areas where everything looks the same (it’s like being in Irvine-yuck!). OH! And my favorite part of San Diego? It’s really close to Tijuana, Mexico (in case you want to party).
