Is Dragon Ball GT Canon?

Ok so basically, it was never stated to not have been canon at all. It's just not the main continuity. So it being a side continuity in a sense would make it non canon to the main timeline. But canon in its own universe. So yes, GT is canon, think of it like a different timeline.

Seeing how db has multiple timelines, I just went with the idea that gt is set in a different timeline from super, probably the same one that the movies happened in since some movie villains appear in the super 17 saga.

Well if you think of it, DBZ is an opposite timeline of what it would become if Trunk didn't create DBZ that we all knew of. GT is in a timeline that never introduced the Gods and Super is in another multiverse timeline, where different situations took place that altered the course in another direction. The new series seems like it's a timeline that branches both GR and Super into the same timeline. I mean Super does have the Z fighters having the same families as seen in GT and have Dragon Balls stronger than any other that is scattered across multiple universes instead of planets across multiple galaxy locations. Also instead of the Dragon Balls be what destroys that planet, it's a universe that loses in a tournament. So in other words, what takes place in one is seen different in another. Even Super Saiyan 4 is altered by God form and also Broly tapping into the Great Ape form without being in the Ape form... Which Broly is this multiverse's version of SSJ 4.

It's like the Z movies which aren't canon except Battle of gods and Ressurection F. I see it like an alternate story, GT had this special vibe, since I grew up with Goku, it was nice seeing him on an adventure again like the original DB, it felt nostalgic. But canon, no.. For me it's like what's not in the manga is not canon... started watxhing Boruto yesterday with a filler list, Naruto and Boruto fillers are boring, but not DBZ like Goku and Picollo getting their drivers licience lol. And those flashbacks from Naruto part 2, I really dislike those, I noticed there are less flashbacks in Boruto.
