I made a realization when I was around 30 seconds with Roux. I was wondering if I might be better at CFOP because I learned CMLL so quickly. I compared solves between CFOP and Roux and discovered that Roux always had a lower move count. Sometimes my move count would be in the 30s. Also, I love the intuitive nature of Roux. I don't think I would be speed cubing if it wasn't for Roux. I'm down to 25 seconds now, and I am continuing with Roux, and I am not looking back. I learn new moves and concepts almost daily with Roux. Yesterday, for example, I learned that if an edge is in the DR with color 'x' facing down, and its corner is in the top R front position with color 'x' facing up and the bottom or top color (mismatched blocks) is facing right, then the pairing is R2, U', R2. Another advantage of Roux is that I don't have to 'peek' at the bottom or the back to know what pieces are where or their orientation. Another good trick like mismatched blocks is mismatched centers. I'm currently learning multiple CMLL algorithms to influence edge orientations. Another concept I'm working on is knowing when to turn the F, B, or D face when the first block is complete. Sometimes a move(s) can be saved by turning those faces. Anyway, I don't know any other speed solvers, let alone ones that use Roux. I'm going to a local competition this year and hope to see some other Roux solvers. I'm off to see how efficient my EOLR is using the online trainer. Thank you for posting and happy cubing.

I agree with eolrb being an intuitive addition to eolr. After learning eolr I noticed that some cases could be optimized depending on the corner position. Then someone asked if I use eolrb, but I didn't know what it was. Always willing to learn new tricks I looked it up, but found that I was doing it already. Btw, thank you for your quality videos. They helped me a lot on my roux journey.

Cool video ^^ I know that you didn't mention EOFB but I had the idea a while ago to do both EOLR and EOFB at the same time to influence 4c, it's not always the best option when it's possible but it's also very interesting

Some time ago I wanted to go through all EOLR+EOFB combined cases and learn for which ones it is better to do EOFB instead of EOLR. But I never got around to doing this and now I don't have time ahah.

I love cubing Its my hobby I do it everywhere House, school or hotel lobby Solving the puzzles Is just so addictive The competition is fierce But not vindictive Its a fight with yourself A fight on improving YOU Use any method, ZZ, Cfop or Roux Its just so fun I cube on the table, couch, the bed Watching the videos J perm, Kian, or cubehead I know this is cringe But i'm a 15 year old To me this is a masterpice Better than rubies, emeralds or gold.

I have a question for you Roux solvers. I was using the Roux trainer from the link listed above. I was looking at the LSE 4c scrambles and solutions. One such case listed 8 minimum moves to finish. Instead of avoiding the dots case, I purposely go to the dots case to use the E2 M' E2 to solve it. Therefore my solution was 6 moves versus the trainers 8 minimum moves. So, what are your opinions about using E2 M' E2 M if it saves 2 moves? I guess it depends on turn speed. What are your thoughts?

EOLR can provide L4E prediction which can result into TPS spam and yes EOLR-B and EOLR are good in their own cases some B cases are not worth and it's better to just go with the regular and predict l4e some EOLR cases are not worth and it's better to just solve the ULR edges at the same time so learn. I like eolr better cuz I don't have to pause or do some paper calc to find good rec technique again
