I've done a lot of research on water fluoridation over the years. The conclusion I've come to is that it's definitively not helpful in preventing tooth decay, and is almost certainly harmful in a number of different ways. On top of that, medicating people non-consensually for a diseases that they might not even have with a completely arbitrary dose of said medication is extremely unethical and irresponsible, even if it did help. With that said, I use this issue as a litmus test for doctors and health authorities. If they support water fluoridation, they are either uneducated, or dishonest, and in either case, they should not be trusted with your health.

How to stop tooth decay? Stop drinking fluoridated water, srart oil pulling twice daily, stop eating refined sugar, Stop using fluoridated toothpaste, srart drinking bone broth, stop eating all grains reduce physic acid in the diet gargle with diluted hydrogen peroxide (among other things) to reduce streptoccocus mutants in your mouth. and very importantly use a waterpick instead of flossing, There are so many things that you can do,MOST of which your dentist won't tell you.

Fluoride reduces testosterone. If a group wanted to reduce the testosterone in the general population, to reduce masculinity they would… 1. Tell people to eat less saturated fat. 2. Discourage eating red meat. (Zinc) 3. Encourage vegetarian food, especially soy and flax seeds. 4. Tell people to reduce cholesterol through diet and statins. 5. Put fluoride in the drinking water. 6. Encourage people to avoid the sun to reduce their vitamin D levels. 7. Encourage using vegetable oils which are high in Omega 6. All these reduce testosterone. 🤔

That's right, Sarah. Neither do PUR water filters. I am new to knowing how dangerous flouride is, so it's really liberating to know about it. Have you noticed Walmart doesn't usually carry filters that filter out flouride? I have checked 7 different Wal-Mart stores in a 80-mile radius of my residence, and not a single one carries a filtration system that fillers flouride. Do you have any idea what stores would carry those types of filters? You'd think Walmart carried them for sure, but not where I live. Any ideas would be appreciated, because I have terminal cancer, and I know flouride only makes cancer worse. If you don't know, it's ok. :) I'll just keep truckin'!

To answer some questions, no I don’t work for a toothpaste company, though Julie you did make me smile! I’m a dental hygienist who loves keeping teeth beautiful and healthy for a lifetime. 2- Could the « powers that be » get the ppm wrong? Theoretically that’s possible ! But with water testing kits available for $10 that’s not going to be a smart strategy to kill us off. 3- Just because there are studies, doesn’t mean they are worth anything. They must be large, randomized, repeatable, peer-reviewed. For example, the « evidence « in the Mercola article was a bunch of rural Chinese who both used fluoride and had low i.q. Huh. Imagine that.

My boyfriend has been a dental assistant for years and has seen it first-hand with people coming in all the time who haven't used fluoride and how bad their teeth can be, then they tell them to start using fluoride. He says on their next check-ups, their teeth are much better looking. Also the amounts that are in your water and toothpaste aren't enough to be toxic, as they are very minute amounts. What rots your teeth and makes plaque and calcium build up is sugar (in the form of straight sugar, and worse is things like bread, which stick in between your teeth and turn into sugars, which forms cavities) and not properly flossing or brushing. Make sure you floss mid-day or after your first meal, and brush as well. Also before you go to bed floss and brush. It differs from person to person depending on the bacteria and enzymes in your system. Some people never have to brush and they never get cavities and some people are just prone to getting them easier, even if they brush. It just depends on your body.

I just left a comment regarding this. I switched to non- fluoride toothpaste this year from Jan to Oct. I just went to the dentist 2 weeks ago and for the first time in my life, I have signs of cavities forming *between* my teeth, not just in top of the molars like I have occasionally had over the years. So I have gone back to using fluoride toothpaste. What kept me using the non- fluoride toothpaste was when I was out of town and used regular toothpaste, my mouth would feel sore and cut up and I realized I had felt that my whole life and never really connected it to toothpaste. I'm able to go back to fluoride toothpaste bc I happened to have a sample of AquaFresh that I used when I ran out of the non fluoride toothpaste and AquaFresh doesn't make my mouth feel like that.
