I am in the process of a divorce now, because my husband is slightly better than an animal. He has "needs" several times a day. He curses me all day, is rude to me, is horrible to me, and yet wants me to give in multiple times a day. Despite the fact that I have been at work all day and dealing with our children all night. I am praying this divorce comes soon and he leaves.

No wife would happily agree to intimacy at night if the husband has been rude/abusive the whole day. Having intercourse with a man who only hurts your feelings and doesn't treat you any better than an appliance is torture itself. I hope none of my sisters (and brothers) have to be stuck in a torturous marriage of such kind.

Imagine the hell some of these women put up with, because of the fear of being cursed by angels, or beaten because the husband FEARS she might disobey him. Just because they really don't feel like being USED that night. Imagine the trumped up imaginary superiority the men must feel because of these verses and hadiths. Nowadays most of these "muslim" women, who like to behave little bit like rebels to their husbands (cause of the influence of the west,satan and their own nafs) even go as far as taking half of the mans wealth in case of divorce (that money to her is like fire and whatever she eats from that fortune is fire to her belly). 1.Many of the men don't even do proper foreplay. And if they finish first they don't help their wives to orgasm either. Stop being selfish during intercourse. 2. I've read about many women wanting intimacy but the husbands deny it, or have early ejaculation problems but refuse to get help from doctors due to ego. They forget women want to be satisfied too. Why be so selfish? You're only seeking your pleasure while neglecting your wives. Be co-operative, understanding while being together. And those guys whining about multiple marriage and wives. Like dude you can't even satisfy one wife to have intercourse with you. What makes you think you're going to be able to satisfy multiple women? Not to mention, if you're not allowed to have multiple wives unless you can treat them equally. You can't even treat one right, how are you supposed to treat multiple wives equally? Just have sabr and ask for Allah's guidance. Be kind to your wives. Stop treating your wife like an object.

A Muslim brother made the following comments on what a wife is: "A wife is not just meant for desires. She is a companion, a homemaker, a mother. She has other duties too apart from fulfilling her husband's request. The request shouldn't be frequent, shouldn't cause harm or inconvenience. It shouldn't interfere with other obligations like praying. So even though men have right, they should exercise such right with caution and fairness. They should be considerate as well. I think this will help in a relation because a wife who feels valued will never disappoint. Happy wife is a happy life." There is no doubt in my mind that all honorable, respectable, right-thinking married Muslim men would agree with these comments. (If Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) were to read them, I believe he would agree, too.) Sadly, a Muslim brother disagreed with this, accusing the brother who made the comments of encouraging women to refuse their husbands for sexual intimacy! What the hell! And these idiots all insist that the Prophet is their role model on how to treat women, wives in particular! They lie! I am convinced these foolish Muslim men are secretly jealous of the Prophet because they know Muslim women defend him, and they don't like it. So they, very subtly, manipulate and twist hadiths, (especially the "angels cursing the wife" hadith), and Qur'anic ayats (especially 4:34, the "beating" verse) to promote male supremacy and misogyny, which the Prophet never, ever did. These idiot Muslim men push legalized prostitution, not marriage/sexual intimacy: Men put out the money; wives put out the sex! And they abuse the exemplary character of the Prophet while doing so! Gross! Excuse the man. Blame the woman. It never fails. May Allah help this Ummah!

When a woman denied her husband an inter course then there is a reason, as a man if you put your wife on a stressful moments during the day she cry all day because of what you did to her, the insults or whatever, n now at night you want to request an intercourse from her, how do you expect her to accept it if she’s not in the mood, she’s not in the mood because of what you did to her during the day That stress will not allow her heart to accept you. Apologies, try to solve the issue before requesting intercourse. Some men can’t even say SORRY. Women are going through a lot in their marriages try to create a smile on your wife face than tears. Let’s try our best to take good care of our husband n our homes, marriage is a form of worshiping Allah just do your best as a wife Allah is seeing you n your heart too be a good wife n do it for the sake of Allah.

Good, constructive and matured discussions here. One thing I find missing is that conjugal rights belong to both. The term ‘fulfilling the desires’ is projected in such a way that it appears to fulfill only ‘husband’s desires’ as if the wife has none. The fact is, both spouses’ desires are fulfilled in the act when done mutually and lovingly, both get satisfied. Also, even the husband may refuse due to valid reason (e.g. being too tired or not in the right mind). But this aspect is rarely talked about due to the stigma of being called not a man enough. The act of intimacy without love, affection and passion for each other, merely remains just an act, a physiological/mechanical one. The relationship of a married couple is based on love, trust, understanding and respect for each other’s feelings. When these things are present, the question of who is being fair or unfair to the other would not arise at all. None should take for granted the other. I recall here one saying that when two people fight/argue, they raise their voice, shout at each other even if they are in close proximity because their hearts are far away. But when two people’s hearts are very close, even a look into each other’s eyes reveal what the other is saying.

Our society is so uncomfortable with the concept of marital rape because we have internalized this very belief that if a husband forces himself on his wife, it must be allowed. And one time forced intercourse isn't an isolated event, it will spoil the relationship. At least for me it would, I wouldn't be able to forgive my husband for it ever and probably never love him either. I remember trying to discuss it with my mother and she just laughed at it and said ''Well then a wife shouldn't say no'' which is true. However, there are circumstances when maybe the wife is feeling not well, shouldn't the husband care a little about her wellbeing? Also, I wish men would be taught about 'foreplay' as well. If only they would entice their wife into intimacy then nobody would have to toss and turn.

@@Assasin4640tbh if intimacy feels like a chore then something is wrong. if your husband makes you happy it wouldn’t feel like a chore to have sex. not saying it’s always the man’s fault, it might be that the woman is discontent bc of something she is doing too but if sex feels like a chore they need to communicate and figure out why.

Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) always viewed his wives as his partners, not slaves, objects, doormats. He was always totally involved in household matters. When he approached his wives for sexual intimacy, he was always respectful and caring, never harsh. He set the example for men on how to treat their wives. If men are not doing this, it is not the fault of wives. If your wives are not answering your calls to the bed, check yourselves. If you come home drunk, high on drugs, or you come home raising hell, destroying things, getting in your wives' faces, cursing them out, calling them out of their names, talking down to them....And after all that, wives are still expected to come to the bed when their husbands call them? Seriously? So men can behave any way they damn well please, careless and wreckless, while expecting wives to maintain their composure at all times, no backtalk? Men manipulate hadiths and Qur'anic ayats to promote male superiority/supremacy and misogyny. Women know this, and they hate it. If Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) were to read all the comments, what do you men think he would think or say? Take your fragile, misogynist male egos out of the picture and think for once. I think he would be ashamed and hurt. And that would not be good. Why do Muslim men think women love, respect, honor, and defend Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him)? Women know the answer to that question. Do men know? Really know? I love my Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him)!

Similarly, there are women who attack their husband as soon as he enters the house, they are mostly disagreeable and argumentative (not just during PMS), they belittle him and raise their voices at him, disrespect him and dress shabbily without any beautification and take him for granted, in spite of him being patient with them and not raising his voice at them and him dressing well and him having good hygiene and helping around the house, etc. This woman creates an environment wherein he loses any desire to be intimate with her (ie: she kills the mood), then these women also need to fear Allah because this killing of the mood is also a type of rejection of the husband without explicitly saying no to him for intimacy.

@DaggerSecurity
@DaggerSecurity 2 жыл бұрын
@@shafeeqahsmith6999 yes, the option for divorce is always on the table. That is often the result, indeed. Those involved may conduct a cost-benefit analysis and consider their relevant details and personal situation given their particular circumstances such as children, living conditions, age, etc. Getting a 2nd wife is also an option. Additionally, The Prophet (saw) was the best of husbands and still, his wives did things that caused Allah to reprimand them at least two times in the Quran wherein Allah threatened the Prophet's wives to be replaced with women who would be better than them and treat him better. (surah Ahzab and surah Tahrim). So the point is that even the best of men will have wives who treat him less than ideal. So it behooves the Muslim woman to always be vigilant, cognizant and on guard from falling into that mistake through willful or unintentional neglect/ungratefulness.

no means no. forcing your wife or husband into intimacy is a sin. It's a sign of abuse. at the same time, you shouldn't also weaponize intimacy in the long term. Also unless either person is ill it's very unlikely they wouldn't want to be intimate. if these problems occur ask yourself this: am I making intimacy enjoyable for my spouse? am I doing foreplay correctly. have I done something wrong to make them angry more? intimacy won't solve any extra argument you have with each other. Solve them first then move on to intimacy. there is also a matter of a person being asexual but thats a different topic lastly, intimacy is a RIGHT of BOTH spouses. both have needs. solve the issue first, go to marriage counseling in a happy and safe environment, and ask an imam. now if all matters fail then you have the right to leave one another with good intentions.

Salam a3leikum, thanks for this video, it made me cry so much, I was born in a western country, from muslim parents, an i've been educated in a crossfire of religion-cultures, I've saw the reality of my mom, the things she has to handle because of her faith, and not talking about out of home, inside home, IVE been so critic with Islam for so long, I've refused and rejected it because my fathers behaviours and my moms sumision, this concrec issue, the sexual rights in marriage, has been a point of discussion since a decade with her, and she quote the Hadith of angels coursing on wifes, it has always broke my heart. She told me without a context. Now that im not anymore a teenager full of rage, as i was at the moment, I have embrace my faith again with the late motive of not inflinge damage on anyone, been clear on my position in all aspects of my life, so no one can tell me after i didnt advice him/her. As well as i confessed this to mom, who accepted always my tattoos, my parties, and my ungratefull ways (never with her, because she thought me compression), my point has been since i have this new point of view: the issues with allah are mine and his, and the day i had to pay for them, i'll do It accepting my whole blame, but the issues with other people i have to try to clean them in life. I always wanted the option of deciding on my own accepting the consecuences, as long as It doesnt hurt anybody in a moral or physical way, and the rest i'll keep It for me and the creator. But we, as women, dont use to have the option to decide to pay the consecuences with Allah, because men used to act as the punisher they think they have the right to be, for their bennefit. My mom probably didnt know she had the option, she thought her husband had the right to do with her whatever he wanted, even when she was the one providing food and roof to the family (because he'd been so lazy for the last 7 years of his life, and may allah will forgive him in grave, and forgive me too because i couldnt even assist to his funeral because the calm and peace i was feeling was so evident i didnt wanted to disrespect my grandmother at her face, allahiarhamha too, astaghfirllah...) Manipulation of men interpretations on islamic faith is the biggest enemy of our ummah and how many people judges our faith and culture as a savage and marcyless ones. Hope all brothers and sisters find a fear partner for this duniya journey to give example about how love must be in a family. The sons of this victims still pay consecuences in life, through traumas, prejudgment and fire rage in our chest. May allah guide us all.

Polygamy marriages are corruption... """And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. From Quran surah Nisa"""... Muslim ummah keep telling others don't follow your desires, women are desires!. But desires can be very powerful. They can hold sway over the mind and lead a person away from reality. When a person follows desires and submits to them, without giving consideration to the guidance received from God, he goes astray. Following of desires is directly linked to misguidance. To understand the effect of desire it is important to analyze what desire does to human intelligence. It puts a curtain over the eyes of the mind. It makes a person so attached to its target that reality is overlooked. The conditions to understand reality include an objectivity to it. It means acceptance of reality whether palatable or bitter, whether it is for personal gain or against it. These conditions are not in line with the dictates of desire. In another verse Almighty Allah puts forth this truth in even stronger terms. He calls desire the god of some human beings. He says: Have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? (Q 25:43). Such a god has been condemned in the strongest terms in Hadith. The Prophet (s) has said: There is no god under the sky that has been worshipped other than Allah that is worse than the desire. (Taken from Tafsīr Namūne). No other deity is as despicable as the human being’s own desire. Imam al-Sādiq (a) says: Be apprehensive of your desires in the same way as you are apprehensive of your enemies. For there is no greater enemy for human beings than their own desires and what their tongues reap (Al-Kulaynī, al-Kāfī, 2: 336.) Following of desires is often not recognized for the lowly quality it is. It can be masqueraded as freedom, having fun, being with the masses, etc. It clads a veil over the person as well as others who are exposed to him. Only those who have insight and reflect on reality are able to see through it. This verse reminds us of the danger! Polygamy marriages come under desires!

One of my guy friend believes that there's no such thing as martial rape (jokes on him) I was so disappointed in him. Once a husband forces himself upon his wife, trust me,things will never ,ever be the same for her.she will never be able to love ,respect and support her husband like before. Excerpts taken from the article "Honor Code of Death" by Donna Abu-Nasr, Associated Press, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Section C, Sunday, July 2, 2000: " 'Men worry about their honor and dignity as if women had none' ", said Azza Suleiman, an activist at the Center for Egyptian Women's Legal Assistance. "They stripped us of our honor and appointed themselves its protector". "Women have been shot, burned, strangled, stoned, poisoned, beheaded or stabbed for being friendly to a brother-in-law sitting next to a man on a bus, falling in love with the wrong person, talking to a man on the phone or even for being raped". "In Yemen (recently), a man shot his daughter dead on her wedding night after her husband said she was not a virgin. At the mother's insistence, the daughter was examined by a doctor--and was found to have been a virgin, said people familiar with the case. It turned out the husband was impotent and knew his problem would have been exposed because he had to display a bloodied rag as proof of his bride's virginity. He lied to protect his honor." There are Muslim men who abuse and manipulate hadiths, (such as the "angels cursing the wife" hadith), and Qur'anic ayats (such as the "beating verse", 4:34) to promote and justify male supremacy and misogyny. Their objective is to always protect and defend men's honor and dignity at all times and at all costs--even if that means destroying or denigrating women's honor and dignity. Tragic! Excuse the man. Blame the woman. It never fails.

A man's duty is to provide, a woman's duty is to fulfill. If he denies provision, whom would she seek? If she denies intimacy, whom would he seek? We got no one else, except each other. If it is always about the mood, the men feel lazy/tired/angry, yet they still go to work, because their obligation is to provide. But if they fall sick, or meet with an accident, they wouldn't go. Similarly, the only reason for the women to deny intimacy is sickness, mensuration or an accident. The Prophet had 11 wives, if one wife denies, he would have another to ask, if she denies, he got another, and so on. But most women oppose polygamy, and a man only has his one wife.

Society expects men to sacrifice their time and energy to provide for their families, but when it comes to their needs, everything is considered haram. What is this term "marital rape"? If a wife is sick, she can refuse; during her period, she can refuse. But if there's no excuse, why would she refuse? Does she not care about her husband? He controls himself his whole life, works really hard to afford a marriage, and she's the only woman in his life, yet she refuses to have sex with him. This could lead to zina and possibly a second marriage if he can afford it. That's the reason angels might curse her!

And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable.

Comments from another Muslim man speaks volumes: "A wife is not just meant for desires. She is a companion, a homemaker, a mother. She has other duties too apart from fulfilling her husband's request. The request shouldn't be frequent, shouldn't cause harm or inconvenience. It shouldn't interfere with other obligations like praying. So even though men have right, they should exercise such rights with caution and fairness. They should be considerate as well. I think this will help in a relation because a wife who feels valued will never disappoint. Happy wife is a happy life." No doubt, Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) would agree with these comments if he read them. Now, I know that there are those Muslim men who would deliberately twist these words to make it look like I am lying on the Prophet. No problem. I'm used to it. As a guy, first if you have a sexual drive, refrain yourself, your wife isn't a tool. Now if this hadith is authentic 100% Allahu a3lam. I see this as sketchy, because sex for woman isn't as stimulating for men and it can be painful. I believe the woman whether if she just doesn't want to because she doesn't want to go through the pain it's fine. I personally feel whilst having sex if the woman is doing purely out of requirement, instead of love and pleasure, that would make me uncomfortable and her. As a Muslim you shouldn't be a dog, whether if you are naturally tempted often, have self control and be able to control your lust and desires. I would rather see my wife asking or be GENUINELY willing for her sake and my sake, than her saying yes because she has to. That's just not according to Islamic teachings, and I believe that strays you further from your iman whether it is true or not, woman are not flashlights. Now I am no feminist, don't get me wrong I believe in traditional masculinity and femininity living according to eachother, but in no way would my wifes by law requirement by Allah, is just please your husband when he wants you to, so you can have a home and food. What's the difference between that and a prostitute, they do the same thing, they have sex whether they like it or not, so they can keep a roof over themselves. Prostitution I see it as one if the biggest sins, so in no way would I have my wife be pressured and having to be mentally forced to hsve sex, solely for my sake. Where is the Deen in that? Just because we have the title of wife and husband in Islam, doesn't mean we, or I should be asking for sex when she doesn't want to. Now I personally don't believe this hadith is true, I could be ignorant and fatwa shopping, Allah a3lam. But I just see this not in accordance to true Islamic teachings. This is like when children use "Mohammed said you have to give food when you look at it as a childish excuse to get free candy. When my wife doesn't want to have sex, it is mentally damaging and would make her have a subconscious hatred for Deen, and especially sunnah, thinking "why would Allah make me do this?" (If there is alot of typos, it's because I wrote alot and typed fast, I'm not going to check over it and fix it lol.)

The intimacy should be based on mutual understanding and love, it's not the case that if husband feels like it the wife will feel too or vice versa, they should both understand this, because if you say you can't do anything, let's say if both husband and wife don't agree to have intimate relationship at any time then that'll definitely weaken their marriage. So they should both discuss this and have a proper understanding of each other. It's bizarre that laws are being made on marital rape and things that are very personal and should be resolved on that level only. Also both should understand when to do what, for example if a man has come home tired from office then wife should understand this and let him have rest and same goes for husband, he should know what his wife is doing, women work a lot in homes too and now even in office, from handling kitchen to kids, husband should keep this in mind, we can't make laws forcing husband or wife to do something or not do something, that's very personal thing , they're already clear guidelines in islam, but the thing is there should be common sense in both, the ultimate goal is to save the marriage and lead a happy, stable life, not to ruin it

Let's not stretch the topic keep it simple.... ☝️ Straight to the point - In and only 2 situation a wife refuse to intimate...... *1- Physical problems ( i.e. related to body yeah u got it) *2- Emotional problems ( this one has high chances, always critical and covers many reasons like.. Stress, tiredness, forced marriages and last but not least she doesn't like u ) So if she has #1problem than husband has no right to intimate and even it can be considered haram in some cases. But if she has #2problem and husband is righteous enough to listen but she isn't telling her than its her fault because no man will try to have sex after knowing her wife's emotions rather he will try to calm and solve her problems only an animal will force her to get in the bed. Matter solved 👍🏻

I have a few questions: 1. What if the woman asks and the husband refuses? Why doesn't any Islamic teacher address this COMMON issue? 2. Can refusal be allowed if it's due to mental harm? (severe trauma, suicidal thoughts, extreme stress, etc) Edit: My second question was SOMEWHAT answered later, because forced sex can cause psychological trauma. But, my question still remains. Can she refuse because sex causes her psychological trauma? Also, that's so weird to abandon her in her bed as "punishment" because that's giving her what she wants lol🤣 3. Another question. If a husband really loves and cares about his wife, why would he want her to suffer by doing something which causes her stress? If he wants her to do something for his desires, which is harmful to her, isn't this being inattentive to HER needs?

I base my answer on the authentic ahaadith and the Book of Allah. 1. The husband should accept the wife's advances, as intimacy is an integral part of marriage. But it is not her right over her husband to ask this of him, rather the husband has that right over her. A wife's right upon her husband is explained in her video, which is safety and provision and other forms of caretaking. Again, while the husband should do as his wife asks of him in this situation, the Law does not obligate him to do so. 2. No, if intercourse causes her psychological trauma, she should instead find a husband who does not seek intimacy. Because intimacy is an obligation upon a woman to give to her husband so long as the husband provides for her needs. 3. I'm not a psychologist, and this question looks disingenuous to me though I try not to assume your intentions.

1. For wife its a sin if she refuse the husband desire, but for husband it doesnt (he can accept/refuse) but remember one of the husband role is provide the wife,and provide is wide it can be financial,protection,biology,etc Thats mean when husband refuse there will be consequence ,like cheating,became mad/angry/sad etc. The good husband is the one who understand teaching in islam. The right its different but the way to get that right is same 2. No, its almost like point number 1 or brother/sister @decade0240. 3. Just divorce, ur case its too one sided on the wife The household will harmony if the husband and wife fullfil their role, ur case is a jerk husband no need take this and that ,just divorce it The wife not gonna feel forced if the husband fullfil what she need, and vice versa. If its too one sided than there is wrong in it(husband/wife) Husband right have their ayat, and the wife right have their ayat, but ppl too focus on opposite role ayat which mean not their own ayat , like husband use wife ayat to justify the "obey thing" meanwhile the husband forget their ayat about provide,lead, etc / vice versa. And thats why like ur case will happen. In alquran maybe Sound like "husband sided" but if u reall really understanding it,actually it for husband and wife , they have same right Thats why in islam there is 4 reason to marriage : 1.Understanding religion ( priority) 2.wealth 3.beauty 4.noble family/lineage Point 2-4 its have diadvatage like 2&3 its temporary (wordly) it not permanent weatlh can be bankrupt anytime,beauty will fade when the age come, noble family (royal family/prophet muhammad descendent/child of sultan etc) only a few percent in this word. But for religion its permanent either on this world/hereafter(akhirat(paradise)), u master when it come religion u have guarantee to have harmony/happy marriage. Marriage bcs Love only on hollywood/marvel/disney, love will come from allah and will be given to husband and wife close to allah or keep on straight path (siratal mustaqim) ,practice the obligation/law & avoid the prohibited (haram). This video seems to be very biased towards women on not holding them accountable for their mistreatment to their husband and trying to make women believe that there is very minimum accountability to refusing to oblige with her wifely duties. And the way it's trying to hold the man accountable for every duty he is required to do for any shortening in it he will have made a grave mistake. I think this post should've taken an unbiased approach towards them both equally and fairly while explaining each to their duties and what's really wrong about it when one refuses to comply, not just the man. And also for women reading this... don't treat having intimacy with your husband as if it is some kind of a chore. Treat it like a reward for both of you.

And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fear Allaah with regard to women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allaah and intimacy with them has become permissible to you by the words of Allaah. Your right over them is that they should not allow anyone to sit on your furniture whom you dislike; if they do that then hit them but not in a harsh manner. And their right over you is that you should provide for them and clothe them on a reasonable basis.” Narrated by Muslim, 1218. What is meant by “they should not allow anyone to sit on your furniture whom you dislike” is that they should not allow anyone whom you dislike to enter your houses, whether the person disliked is a man or a woman, or any of the woman’s mahrams [close relatives to whom marriage is forbidden]. The prohibition includes all of them. From the words of al-Nawawi. Source Islamqa My questions is, what if you end up with those sort of husbands who dislike everyone! @Muhammad Moawaz I know what the clerics say, what I want to know is what ordinary Muslims think about what their clerics and books say. I don't understand the vast difference between what they say is Sharia... and what should be practiced instead to ensure a happy marriage. Listening to the conversations here - there are sticklers to the rigid letter of the law and those who don't even know the laws that govern them. I am sure they don't spell out marital rights of men to them when they convert to Islam and marry a Muslim man. Or even a Christian woman marries a Muslim man. He won't tell her she will now have to submit to all his advances or else there are consequences and not good ones. Unequal requests for sex or demands for sex lead to resentment and bitterness. Whoever created these laws had no understanding of harmony in marriage. We have a similar problem in Christianity where if you take Paul's letters to the letter you end up with similar problems to Muslim wives. After all Paul was a single man who had never been married. They would have been better getting Peter to write about sex and marriage. Some cult groups in America especially, carry it too far and the girls literally become more like sex slaves than beloved wives as God intended. worse is the women who perpetuate this warped doctrine of theirs. Like the women who hold their daughters down for FGM. But having that problem in Christianity does not mean its ok for women in Islam. Maybe I am fighting for women's rights - being married for 30+ years is lived experience, which is why I said writing your book as a man is like asking the wolf does he like Chicken while living in the hen house.

If a husband's leadership in the household stinks, why should he still expect his wife to come to the bed when called? The marriage tie is in the hands of husbands, not wives. Husbands can very easily abuse their power over their wives, if they're not careful. So, if husbands "can't get some" from their wives, wives don't eat? Who is gonna cook the food--husbands?? If there are children in the home, they will notice something is wrong if Mama is not eating, and they and Daddy are. How will men explain that to them? If wives have earning power outside the home, will husbands intentionally go to their wives' places of employment, intending to get them fired, insisting they have the right to do that? Will husbands kick their wives out of the house if they "don't get some" from them and not give a damn what happens to them? Money does strange things to a lot of men out there! Too much power!
