While I don't think it's necessarily a super woke game (depending on how you define it), it's not really "representation" to add pronouns. Just let the player choose the type of gender they want. If a man wants to be a woman than just pick the woman character. Besides, a hearing aid is a legitimate medical condition, thinking you're a gender you aren't is a mental illness.

@@the-conservative-gamer As a trans person myself, I wasn't saying trans people are the same as disabled people. I was referring to the fact that both groups of people who are not the status quo are being represented. @@hayleywilkinson7971 i have almost 200 videos 2 of which are about this, I am not offended i don't care i was stating the facts for information. I don't want that "opportunity" as you say. Trans beliefs do go against my beliefs however this video was meant to convey not what i believe but rather that dumb complaints and forza giving into them. I didn't mention the disabilities because that would be a very long video and something tells me you wouldn't be excited if i talked about that. "Oh No A straight White Christian Guy Posted Something I Don't Like On KZbin, I must leave a negative comment." Me stating the facts belongs here just as much as any pro trans or pro furry video. I really dont understand why there is an issue with the characters in the game, the character is such a minor detail its practically not worth the effort. Also, get yourself some adblock extensions... it makes web browsing so much better!!

Huh, I guess it's either not as woke as you say it is, or "Go woke, go broke" is wrong. There, I could have saved you a lot of editing time, and anyone watching this 8-10 minutes of their life. It's a character creation mechanic. You do this for a couple minutes (hours if you are some sort of fanatic) when you begin to play the game, and you never touch it again. Absolutely nobody cares after that time what that mechanic does, they are busy playing the game. Did you notice they also introduced prosthetics? I suppose being aware of people who have lost a limb (usually in the service of our country) is also woke? But you didn't mention it, soooooo.....

this is on the verge of hate but i will respond anyway, forza horizon 5 was very successful launch but actually player count went way down soon after launch and the game was in a slightly dangerous area. I don't believe in go woke go broke entirely and I'm not saying the game became less successful for a bit because of the wokeness, i think the game went down cause it just wasn't as good as predecessors and it needed some work which the devs gave it. I did notice the prosthetics and no a veteran with a prosthetic is not woke, someone saying i feel like i only have one arm today and cutting off there arm that's different. I didn't have enough time in the video to properly talk about this, you should understand since you implied the video was to long.

@@09unwound80I'm just tired of the term "woke". It's divisive to it's core. If I came off as hateful it's of the term, not of you, sorry for that. Woke as a term started amongst African Americans in the US to stay, "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination". Now that the right has co-opted it, it's any discrimination that they deem inappropriate. As for success, the game started day one with 4.5 million, 10M launch week, and has consistently increased playership over the years since. t had 37M players registerd this year. It's more popular than Forza Horizon 4, although Steam numbers are not showing this... but it's not the main selling platform.

@@PapaVanTwee5 i appreciate that man, i don't know where the term woke came from but its the word i use to describe for extreme leftist, i know leftists that call themselves woke so its not just the right using it, its also the left. I could get offended by a Dutch braid because black people took that as a part of there culture, i mean its a DUTCH braid. so this is just a big mess of everyone blaming each other when in reality we are all confused and were confused and divided for a reason. Fh5 had a very successful launch and i remember the news it got way less popular lots of purchases but not a lot of playing time as of last years amazing updates the game has a really high player count.

In all honesty i think you need to get over your fixation on trans people and the term wokeness. A rational person would look past the non issue of pronouns because they serve a purpose and have been in games since the dawn of time. The way i see it, Horizon caters to the multiplayer aspect over the solo driven Forza Motorsport. So it makes sense that they lean into character customisation more. You seem sheltered in your beliefs. Buzz word echo chambers serve to only stunt growth. Step outside your comfort zone and speak to a trans person, you might learn something. Personally i could do without a character at all in this game as thats not what im here for but at the same time it has never impacted my ability to enjoy the game.

First, i thank you for your genuine response as a conversation rather than just blind hate. I was trying to get to the ultimate point and i think i was pretty clear to both sides of this argument get over it cant we let it be a game about cars. I have talked to many "woke" and trans people and I've had discussions with them about their beliefs. Those convos went well and some even converted to Christianity which is great, anyway I may make a clarification video that is very simply put. the main issue was deadnaming which hopefully you understand doesn't make a lot of sense considering its there name. Honestly I don't care about the trans option in that way. Games aren't going to be Christian based and I cant expect that in a fallen world, but forza just gave in to the complaints. Again I thank you for your genuine discussion.
