Really like batch 007, i get a lot of fruity, but more figgy/dried fruit and that spicy pepper with a little wood funk, really love this one.

This was such an amazing find, it was pricey but had heard good things and took a chance and it’s blown my socks off. Glad you liked it and yes that proof showed up no where on the sip was very pleasing!!

I have been fortunate to get every bottle of Found North since their very first batch (except 6S). I have not been disappointed in one yet, and they just keep getting better.

There is a lot of mediocre American, Scotch, Irish Whiskey as well. Canada seems to be known for Crown Royal shelfers and Canadian Club mixers only. I own 2 bottles of FN Batch 007 and not disappointed in the purchase. The craft distilleries in Canada are producing excellent Rye's and Single Malts. The fact that the big distilleries like Valleyfield, Paliser (Black Velvet) are shipping their aged stock down south instead of blending and bottling it here just shows that they would rather just sell bottom shelf mixers. There are some other NDP bottlers in the US that thrive blending and selling Canadian whisky (Storytime-Old Dragon Bones Rye, Cat's Eye-Obtanium Canadian line, Found North, Barrell Spirits and Rare Perfection stuff) Just because the law in Canada allows for added color, does not mean they all do it, same as Scotch and Irish. Also they cannot add "a lot of stuff". Any flavoring has to be a spirit aged in wood for a minimum 2 years, i.e. Rye, Rum, Port, Sherry, etc. No neutral grain (like American Blended Whiskey), no orange juice or maple syrup allowed.
