I have been a Nole since I was a kid and now my money and my kids are enrolled at FSU but I can guarantee you this. If we make a lateral move to the 12 ……. I’m done ! Not even joking, this will be the sign for me that this college league has run its course and playing just to play doesn’t work. History with schools in the east and central north of the country run deep and anything else is a gain for the western schools and not us.

Apparently the Bigten and SEC have hit a pause button. Josh Pate has said something huge is going down this week. Speculation is the 2027 ESPN option won't get renewed and the ACC falls under a 3 year GOR. Bigten has 2 primary targets.. UNC and Notre Dame SEC has 2 Primary targets in UNC and UVA. My guy feeling is the Bigten doesn't want to crack the ACC open first. Big 12 option with private capitol will make a play for FSU and Clemson. SEC doesn't want to take in FSU and Clemson but will try if it keeps it out of the Bigten. The Bigten at some point will talk to 3 or 4 schools and do evaluations on all of them. My guess by 2026/27 maybe earlier is. Bigten = 20 = FSU and Miami Bigten= 24 = Notre Dame, Duke, Stanford and GT. SEC = 22 UNC, NC State, Virginia, VT, Clemson and Kansas. Big12 = 20 Louisville, Pitt, Syracuse
