The term translates to “eater of raw meat” and basically degraded their traditional practice of eating raw beluga whale as a means of survival. the term is used to make natives seem dirty, barbaric, and “like savages”. it is STILL WIDELY used as a racist remark against natives in Canada today.

honestly cyn, she sometimes is rude as a sister because when cristine was trying to input her opinion, cyn automatically just downplayed her input, not too deep but more of a certain extent. Maru literally was agreeing with her view as well, and cyn didn’t have to put her past experience out in the open like that unless cristine did. Personally me, i don’t care if you’re my sister or friend or anything, like i’m expressing my opinion about something but don’t put my past out in the open and assume it’s about that, like you’re crossing a boundary. Me, i could tell that cristine’s mood kind of just went down. i’m not trying to send hate but, as a viewer be careful when you react a certain way, and cristine probably doesn’t even think it’s that serious which is totally fine but, like just be aware of the expression and vibe with that person after what you say because you never know. I love your content guys as well 💕!
