I respect Fannita for holding down her opinion on the first question and she's 100% right. The idea of not getting to spend one on one time with a male friend I've known for years just cuz I'm in a relationship is crazy 💀💀 esp if I haven't hung out with that person in years like?? Not to be that person, but that's such a heteronormative mindset. Imagine being bi and being told you can't spend any one on one time with any of your friends while in a relationship....
@Sagacypher9 ай бұрын
No yeah it is heteronormative. There’s a reason why this topic doesn’t exist in the LGBT community 😭 the straights are COOKED.
@frostbite21199 ай бұрын
Her perspective was needed and I honestly agree. It takes security on your end to be able to trust your partner fully and just be cool with it. Not every interaction you have with the opposite sex has any sexual connotation behind it. This honestly happened to one of my girlfriends. Her guy friend ghosted her after he got a girlfriend, but my friend wasn't even attracted to him, only viewed him platonically, so that friendship pretty much went down the drain after that point.

Fannita speakin truth, like these opposite gender dating rules can be so restricting on other surrounding relationships sometimes, and it really does come down to trust. if u putting rules around how to hang out w friends, that means you don't trust ur partner's judgment.
@nikkiu.21489 ай бұрын
Agreeed. I saw a comment that said "my man is enough and im perfectly fine with him being the only man in my life," and I feel like that implies that the only non-familial relationship you can have with the opposite gender is a romantic relationship. Having male friends isn't about having more men in your life; it's just having a friendship with someone that happens to be male. Like Fannita said, regardless of gender a friendship is just that: a friendship. And it's sad to see how the social restrictions put on male-female interactions prohibits genuine friendships from forming or lasting.
@ItsJustLakey9 ай бұрын

I'm with fannita on the dinner thing, if he cheats he cheats. We're two individuals in a relationship, I'm just trusting my partner not to cheat like just go have fun boo and I'll see you when you get back❤

The ending where fannita was talking about how differently she was treated after losing weight is so true! Was just talking with my own friends about the same topic after loosing weight myself and she put it into the perfect words that I didn’t really know how to.

I’m so happy Fannita came on this podcast bc lowkey I feel like they’re tone deaf at times on what black people experience on the DAILY. It’s good to have a black persons perspective

its not just a guy you just met its ur significant other.. if you dont value ur significant other enough to put them above some of ur freinds you shouldnt be together

This has to be the best podcast so far I was laughing from start to finish. Fannita is so amazing, I love how real and open she is. Unapologetically herself to the core. I love it
