The apostle Paul on husbands and wives: "Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church." 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 Paul on women's conduct in church: "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak... And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home." 1 Timothy 2:13-15 Paul on why women should be silent in church: "For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing, provided [she] continue in faith and love and holiness, with modesty." Titus 2:3-5 rape victim's rights, Old Testament style: "If there is a young woman, a virgin already engaged to be married, and a man meets her in the town and lies with her, you shall...stone them to death, the young woman because she did not cry for help...and the man because he violated his neighbor's wife." [If the woman is not engaged] "the man who lay with her shall give 50 shekels of silver to the young woman's father, and she shall become his wife." Ephesians 5:22-23 In the Ten Commandments, the wife as property: "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's." Numbers 5:12-28

That Deuteronomy 22:28 - 29 scripture is so misused it's incredible. This is not talking about gRAPE... it's talking about casual sex, hooking up, friends with benefits type of consensual sex. It uses the Hebrew word taphas which means to lay hold on but often gets translated by some translators as gRAPE. The same word is used in other places in the Bible and it's not exclusive to physical grabbing. For example Jeremiah 2:8 the same word is used referring to the priest that had a grasp on law which refers mentally. This is how we further know Deuteronomy 22 :28 is not talking about gRAPE because there is a precept which further explains it. [Exo 22:16 KJV] And if a man ENTICE a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. [Exo 22:17 KJV] If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. It's talking about ENTICING a woman, GRABBING her attention, spitting game etc. Then they lay down behind close doors but they get caught. Now he is forced to marry her and can never divorce.

Why should you cry for help if are willingly engaging in casual sex? 😂 that makes no sense

@@Ladynilow Where does Deuteronomy 22:28-29 say anything about crying out for help... ? It doesn't. So like I was saying.... Casual sex [Deu 22:28 KJV] If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; [Deu 22:29 KJV] Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. Which is being reiterated from this law [Exo 22:16 KJV] And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. [Exo 22:17 KJV] If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

@@studentofthesaviors.o.sthis is a lie. It is very clearly about rape, not casual sex

@@trithos7308 No it is not… Deuteronomy 22:25 (KJV) But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die: This is talking about rape. Rape has already been addressed and its punishable by death. Verse 28 is not going to now say “hey it’s okay if you rape here” the NLT does a good job translating this Deuteronomy 22:25-29 (NLT) 25 “But if the man meets the engaged woman out in the country, and he rapes her, then only the man must die. 26 Do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no crime worthy of death. She is as innocent as a murder victim. 27 Since the man raped her out in the country, it must be assumed that she screamed, but there was no one to rescue her. 28 “Suppose a man has intercourse with a young woman who is a virgin but is not engaged to be married. If they are discovered, 29 he must pay her father fifty pieces of silver. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he may never divorce her as long as he lives.

3:05 heres something the bible says about slavery (ephesians 6:5)"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ" idk i think its a bit outdated :/ slavery is obviously not okay

What happens if God Himself punishes a woman (Mariam) and doesn’t punish a man (Aaron) when they both were guilty of complaining about Moses? Help!
@studentofthesaviors.o.s
@studentofthesaviors.o.s Жыл бұрын
Numbers 12:1 is the answer. She's named first contrary to all other times indicating that she was the instigator or mastermind behind it all hence why she was punished. Also seeing Aaron was high priest he bore the sin for the whole nation every year.

I’m talking about the comment that said the bible says they should be both stoned to death because the woman ddnt scream for help . Why should a rape victim be stoned to death because she ddnt cry for help? Knowing very well that every human has only 3 responses to danger , fight , flight or freeze . So if you freeze while being violated you must die ?? Sounds misogynist to me

@@Ladynilow Because she was never a 🍇 victim. Watch. [Deu 22:24 KJV] Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; *the damsel, because she cried not, [being] in the city;* and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you. The setting is the city which should be and typically is flooded with people. Therefore her cries would have been heard if she was in any danger. So the fact that she doesn't cry indicates consent and not 🍇 therefore they are committing adultery and violation of the previous verse (Deuteronomy 22:22) in contrast to... [Deu 22:27 KJV] For he found her *in the field, [and] the betrothed damsel cried, and [there was] none to save her.* You are to give the benefit of the doubt that she was crying for help since she was in the field where it won't be as populated. Therefore he would be guilty of 🍇 and it is punishable by death but for her is no death because she did nothing wrong. "crying for help" (which is generally done) in the verse just demonstrates the consent of certain cases. Nevertheless that's why investigation is to be done scripture says. So not misogynistic but actually very protective and seeking justice for the abuse of women
