It’s the perspective of a ghost, being him and missing his mother. Then watching his mother move on from mourning his death. There are many explanations on Twitter as well :)

This made me think of his friend Sad Frosty, another artist who passed away while (I think) Quadeca was on tour or something. Either way rough time for Quadeca and this song, especially "those little things I should've said out loud" and "little bit of doubt" possibly being worry for his friend who "would've been here right now" if he had voiced his worries? That's what the lyrics made me think of anyway

I know it's pretty... But my brain can't take high pitched and chaotic noises, it's too much and confusing as well. (Don't know, being a metalhead, my brain should probably feel discomfort...but I think the chaos in metal is well controlled: seems like chaos, but is disguised.) Not the artist's fault, obviously. It's a great song.
