Recasting the main kid after 2 isn't the main problem with this movie. This and other sequels could work if their scripts, stories, and jokes are good. You don't always need to keep bringing back the main star of the franchise, because then you get elderly Arnold Terminator.

True. But it's at least better than 4 and 5. Especially 4 when the kid they cast for Kevin didn't even act like him.

I don't know if it's underrated but this one (and the ones after) only appeal to children while the first 2 appeal to children AND their parents. That's the difference. Well that and Macaulay Culkin was an amazing child actor.

In my opinion , part 3 was the last great film from that trilogy. It still has that magic , but not much.
