HOME ALONE 3 - RETRO MOVIE REVIEW | Double Toasted - We've heard almost a slight positive reaction to this movie in our community. We don't know if it's the traps, Alice, or if everyone was part of the pitch meeting. We not only review the film, give our reaction to the traps including the "You smacked my winkie" scene, the mud scene, and the trampoline scene, but we also allow ourselves to jerk away from the nostalgia, and remain at least some semblance of being a critic as we take a look at how many things this movie did wrong, and what it could have done RIGHT. Watch the trailer, watch the movies beforehand, and join us as we go through the awfulness that is Home Alone 3.

The reason the family treats Alex like shit is to continue the proud Home Alone tradition of child neglect. Home Alone 1 the entire family ganged up on Kevin because he wanted a slice of pizza and Buzz basically made himself sick eating just to prevent Kevin from having a slice. They also were ready to make him share sleeping space with a bed wetter **who knew he wet the bed and took pride in it(!?)** Home Alone 2 Kevin gets embarrassed in front of like, ⅓ of the town during one of his few moments to shine and when Kevin retaliates, Buzz gets to give a fake apology and Kevin has to lump it. You can't just have the Home Alone kid be treated nice by his family. A mentally healthy kid doesn't imagine and then engineer murder traps using stuff around the house.
@Blizzard-kf3qm
@Blizzard-kf3qm 3 жыл бұрын
Buzz wasn’t sick from the pizza, he was being an asshole saying he would have to barf it up if Kevin wanted any. But yeah, it’s the tradition of shitting on the youngest kid that these movies feel the need to follow.

Last year in my review of HOME ALONE 3: "This movie was bland as hell, it did not hold up as an adult, 3 out of 10." This year after reviewing HOME SWEET HOME ALONE: "HOME ALONE 3 is the best of the non-Culkin sequels, truly a competent and well produced movie that doesn't make you wish for death like HOME ALONE 6 does, *DEAR GOD FUCK THAT MOVIE* , 5 out of 10."

I think we all look for different things in movies to please us, a lot (and i mean lots) of movies i enjoyed as a kid were considered trash when i grew up, people rave about their ridiculous plot, unfunny humour etc but for me i enjoyed them, i got to the point now where i dont care if people agree, its my opinion and should be called stupid or not a “real” film fan for enjoying a movie, i liked home alone 3 when i was younger is that the same as going its better or on the level of home alone or home alone 2 no theyre not mutually exclusive i try not to compare movies against each other especially sequels, im sorry people who wasted their time hating a movie and then wasted more time explaining why it sucked youve robbed your own time trying to convince people they should dislike something because you dont

Same I was at a point where I really appreciated the technological aspect and the more espionage oriented themes. I think it was the most adult of the films. The kid was a "maker"... Ingenuitive and resourceful unlike in the 4th movie where he just pressed the buttons and did let the house do the work but that was aiming for a different generation.

If there was a Home Alone 3 with Kevin it would be called HOME ALONE 3 PASSPORT TO PARIS Also I believe Kevin used to babysit Alex and only told him of his dealings with Marv and Harry inspiring him to take on the 4 spy’s. I would change the Pruitt family to the Murphy’s to be in more connection to the original movie. I would also make HOME ALONE 4 The Pruitt Family not the McCallister family because they resembled the Pruitts more than the McCallisters. I Wrote a reunion movie called HOME ALONE WITNESS PROTECTION having a now grown up Kevin & Alex going into witness protection to hide and testify against the Quantum Bandits Alice, Berkin, Earl and Petr who have now joined forces with Harry and Marv. Kevin is forced to leave his wife and kid and Alex is a world class computer hacker and playboy searching for that perfect family. Along the way they befriend a mysterious group of kids who ran away after there orphanage burnt down. Also it wouldn’t be home alone without a house full of traps Kevin & Alex are put up in a state of the art smart house and they rig it up with more lethal Christmas traps. The movie ends with Kevin & Alex and the orphan kids uniting as a family and staring off into the sunrise. The last line of the movie is KEVIN!! ALEX!!! YOU CAUSED 10 MILLION DOLLAR DAMAGES TO OUR STATE OF THE ART SAFE SMART HOUSE!!!!!

I remember being a kid and watching the trailer for the first time. I thought to myself "wtf is this?". A year later when it was on TV I actually liked it.

It's weird how they just mentioned The Collector & Home Alone when there are a bunch of Kevin became Jigsaw memes out there. And the Collector does the trap thing also so this new kid becoming him & Kevin becoming Jigsaw is a movie universe I wanna see.

Honestly this is my favorite home alone movie with the second home alone coming in at a very close 2nd. Never got the hate it’s like the fans thought mcCully Culkin would be doing home alone forever into his 30s.

This was a great roast, Billy would’ve been great here along with Chris. Martin is always great with his sarcastic sense of humor 🤣

The first 2 may be superior films, but I always like this one more. I never liked Kevin no matter how many times I watch them, Alex is way more likeable, and this is also the one I had available growing up

I think the villian Korey said sounds like Dracula ended up playing Dracula in the Van Helsing movie, which also was a bad movie roast.

I really wish they made an r rated home alone sequel with culkin, where he turns his house into a trap house like saw.

Culkin reprised the role for a couple of skits and commercials. It was funny and welcome but should probably just stay a skit.

Idk they’re kinda negative sometimes and miss facts which is frustrating!! Like for Spider-Man No way Home - they went in about how Venom doesn’t know who Peter Parker is when clearly it’s known from Venom 2 that the symbiote knows all experiences and is connected to all other symbiotes throughout the multiverse! It’s just one example but I’ve watched them before where they put out false info which completely ruins the review!!! A reviewer should know it all and try to not so over judgmental smh

Home Alone 1 1990 this is my ranking of the home alone movies i didn't see 5 but that one i heard was so bad and its worse too in my opinion and i haven't seen Home Sweet Home Alone yet because i don't even own Disney plus anyway to watch that movie

I think this movie home alone three we’ve been a lot cooler if it was revealed that Alex’s dad was Kevin McAllister from home alone, one and two if that happened in the movie a whole lot cooler Lotta people hate home alone three and some people just think it’s just all right. But if Kevin was the dad, they would think this is the best home alone third movie ever I think this movement coffee used to traps from the original first home alone movie like the swing buckets from the stairs and use the trap from home alone two with the stapler gun that would be cool if that was used in home alone three

The fourth and fifth ones (Taking Back the House and The Holiday Heist) are TV movies. Aired originally on ABC and Freeform (ABC Family at the time) respectively. One in 2004, the other in 2012.
