And you also can't underestimate Wonyoung's popularity in Korea. Sakura might have the edge with international fans, but Wonyoung's popularity is no joke in Korea.

the problem with Glam is that Dahee was an horrible person. I mean, I might understand where she came from since she was under so much debts that she had to repay. She was indebted concerned the company etc but overall, she shouldn’t have done that. She destroyed the possible future of many girls including Glam’s members. She could’ve done something else to earn money since a lot of idols and trainees even tho it’s so hard and they don’t have time since it’s so overbooked for them, they tend to find a part time job. Now, she served or is serving in prison and justice did their duty. No mistake from HYBE/ BigHit on this one because they couldn’t have known nor prevented it mostly if she didn’t have a past with blackmailing etc… but I stay on the fact that Source Music did Gfriend dirty since they were so overworked that they decided that to rest, they had to disband when they didn’t even want to. Then Pledis disbanded NuEst for NO REASON (I needed to mention that) so except if the group of Le Sserafim (ok I literally think I botched the name) would be overworked or one of them will cause a bigger scandal than Dahee’s and bigger than Garam’s now with solid proofs. I don’t think they will disband after 2-3 years. I just hope Source will manage them well and not just k*ll them with work and people will stop trying to dig up dirt on idols/trainees and making lies just to destroy their career/upcoming career. a thing I still don’t understand

Some shady shit went down with Gfriend Source CEO were using the girls money to buy luxury cars even tho Gfriend were selling well the company was in debt and that why Bighit bought it in 2019 and loaned them some money which they were to make back but didn’t thats why Lesserafim is basically a Bighit group with Source just managing them while Bighit will be paying them fairly as soon as Sakura signed she became the 2nd highest paid female idol from Japan just off her contract alone

BigHit changed to HYBE. The umbrella company which supports the production and financial needs of the agencies under them. BigHit Entertainment changed to BigHit Music, the agency that manages BTS and TXT. If you actually listened to the HYBE quarterly press conference, they stated that the agencies they had acquired along with BigHit Labels are the one's who are responsible for the artists contract and management. Therefore, the disbandment of GFriend was a decision of SourceMusic. SourceMusic probably cannot manage 2 girlgroups and that's their choice. HYBE is not exactly lacking on any money, they can provide financial support for many artists. Look at BigHit Labels, they're both managing BTS and TXT, both groups are active too.

Source music was acquired by big hit and became a subsidiary of that company. An acquisition occurs when one company takes control of, or acquires, another existing company. A subsidiary is a company controlled by the holding company. Although source music was in charge of managing the agency and producing the music, at the end of the day HYBE owns the agency and therefore has the most say in what happens with the future of the company and the direction they want to go in because they have a financial vested interest in the company. So yes, although HYBE doesn't directly work with GFRIEND, they do have a part to play because they literally own the agency and have the power and funds to make these sorts of decisions

Technically middle school in Korea is from age 12-15 but yeah I mean we can’t even be sure if it’s her there have been many opposing claims. As she is an 05 liner she would’ve one graduated middle school in January or February of 2021 and she’s only just started her second year in high school. A lot of these claims I’ve heard are from 2020 (?) when she was in her last year of middle school aka 9th grade so she was 14 most likely since she’s born at the end of her year. But I heard things about her writing bad stuff about Ive and hybe being better but literally I’ve didn’t debut until December 2021 and hybe wasn’t merged until March 2021, both of which following her graduation from middle school so those literally can’t even be true.

Like for example when a group is formed even before their debut they already want them to win ROTY. Like let’s give them a year and see how the music and group are before saying a they should win the award. So many smaller company groups are insanely good but get overshadowed by big company groups or groups that have know members or family members that get catapulted to the top right away. It's not gonna be a mistake, plus they are under source music which have experience with producing girlgroup (good and bad, the important it's they learned from multiple mistakes, bighit only tried once and never again so overall from hybe between bighit and source music, the later one is the best option to produce a new girlgroup) , i think their strategy into marketing them into fashion model it's ''innovative'', because rarely in the kpop world groups were marketed in that way so obviously, of course one of the main revenue for idols are brand endorsements so originally groups are created with an intent to touch certain type of luxury niche/brand and category of people. With LE SSERAFIM they are clearly presenting them from the start as the brand itself, in a sense that they won't need the help of famous luxury brand to add to their hype and glamourous image and it's working well looking at the 380 000+ preorder for their mini album. And that was before they actually debut live and from what i saw from their showcase their popularity will only increase in this year, because they are indeed talented, professional and charismatic on stage.

Not a Garam enthusiast or hater but the case was blowing up everywhere so, i deep dived into it because i felt some things were fishy. 1. The Level 5 punishment which everyone was making a fuss about isn't that rare in Gyeongin middle school. Every school has different School Violence Committees and have their own levels of punishments. The least one being a written apology(Lv.1)while the harshest one was expulsion(Lv.9). Lv. 5 was Special Education/ Psychological treatment and Schools actually practice it more than Lv. 3-4 (School/community service) along with Lv. 2 (prohibiting contact with victim). 2. School Violence Committee isn't only held for "physical assault" like some ppl think. Kim Garam along with other 4 students was disciplined for VERBAL abuse and cyberbullying (There are no evidences of physical assault) after Yoo Eunseo(It's a pseudonym/ not the real name) transferred schools. Yoo Eunseo took obscene photos of Garam's friend and posted it on social media but wasn't punished and they probably cursed her out online. Yoo Eunseo took advantage of it and reported them before her transfer. (They were 6th-7th graders when this incident took place) 3. Yoo Eunseo was driven to commit s**cide bcz of Kim Garam. It was actually false rumor. Some netizens actually found her social media and threatened to dox her and release her personal information to the public. She became anxious and tried to commit the S-word. It's a recent incident. 4. Many people were coming out as victims of Kim Garam's bullying and one of them was Jang Hyunseo. He straight-up called Garam, a b!#@h and wrote many things describing her rotten attitude in middle school etc. etc. BUT this Jang Hyunseo never existed in the first place. He was just a made-up character who was used to add more fuel to the already raging fire. Probably a work of Garam Hate Club. 5. There was also a photo circulating of a group of girls wearing dark pink clothes. It was used as an evidence by another person claiming to be a victim to prove that they went to the same middle school as Garam. The photo actually existed in the internet way before it was posted by them. Therefore, another hater trying to sabotage Garam's reputation. People making videos analyzing Garam's bad behavior, saying things like, "I knew she was a bully", "I didn't like her from the beginning" and calling her derogatory terms aren't serving any sort of justice. No one can really take these bullying accusations seriously anymore. Too often they have turned out to be false, or those who made these accusations have become entangled in contradictions (Hyunjoo) or suddenly didn't want to talk about it anymore because they supposedly had no accurate memory of it (Seo Shin Ae). Although the hype about this group is not as big as when txt was about to debut, one should still not underestimate them, they got the hybe stans back. Practically all of them don't stan any kind of girlgroup or any group outside of Hybe groups so it's practically a different population coming to support Lesserafim and that's not a small amount. At least this group or any fellow girlgroup debuting from Hybe will get the most exposure internationally. Might even get a US tour like txt did in their debut year and get tons of interviews over there where hybe groups attended too. Also if stray kids can get awards without really having any impact in SK so can this new girlgroup. Nowadays it's not just about domestic popularity even for girlgroups.

Searching for a company to get all 6 of them and do what they all need individually as well as managing them as a group is not easy and not many companies are willing to do that because it's financially a precarious position, not to mention managing a group of that caliber is just very demanding. They were essentially thrown out of SoMu and had to act quickly. The fact that SoMu also initiated the process of copyright on anything GFRIEND related didn't help as well because even if they stayed together there was 0 chance they would ever be able to promote as gfriend or be allowed to perform any of their old songs. They weren't idols for that long of a period, so they couldn't manage themselves and make their own company similarly to how highlight did it.

Being a part doesn't mean necessarily you have the bigger companies financial assets at your disposal. SoMu disrespected their breadwinner that built them literally from 0... I know there’s been some controversy over those as well, (which is to be expected), so I just hope it won’t impact them too much. What I am concerned about though is fromis_9… Source Music obviously doesn’t have a very good history of managing girl groups, so I’m worried that when Le Sserafim debuts the company will be in a frenzy managing them that they’ll put fromis_9 off to the side… 😔 They just managed to gain more popularity and achieve their first win recently, so I just really hope that HYBE and Source Music will continue to give them the attention they deserve.

Based on albums sales you can officially check (AKA facts, but we know how much the crazies love to ignore facts), you are exaggerating GF's impact. They weren't even able to sell 100,000 albums in any comeback. That reference point only went up to at least 300,000 in the last years due the success of groups like BP, Twice, IZ*ONE etc. In general all groups went up significantly with their sales during the pandemic. Groups who didn't, well, what's their problem?
