You killed it!! The hyrox world champion (women’s) time is very close! If you didn’t speak in between and locked in, you could’ve definitely saved some time. But for someone who doesn’t train in this modality you were a beast! IFL!

Hyrox can be regarded, I guess, as an offspring of CrossFit, but it's not at all the same. It's made for "everyone." That is, you can be in pretty bad shape and complete Hyrox, even if it takes three hours (or more). I think 94% of the people who start an event finish it. Also, there are none of the events that require skill that CrossFit includes (Olympic lifting, handstand push ups, etc.). Finally, every Hyrox race is the same, none of the WOD surprises of CrossFit. Maybe "CrossFit light." Then, Deka Fit could be "Hyrox light" I suppose! I have to also say that your workout, while very challenging, was not the same as a Hyrox event. Whether what you did is harder or easier isn't for me to say. But, in Hyrox, there are farmers carries, sandbag lunges, and the burpees are actually burpee broad jumps for 80 meters. Not being critical, what you did was very challenging. Hyrox will send out weekly workouts for preparation for the events. Is the workout you performed one of those?

Totally borrows from a CrossFit workout but it’s a great workout nonetheless! Also, scaling these exercises catered to your fitness level provides an excellent format for that day (and getting your sweat on!).

You missed: broad jump burpees, sled push, sled pull, warmer walk, sandbag lunges. I'm training for Hyrox as well. It's brutal so far. It's mostly a running race with some crossfitty things thrown in. Heck I'm not even sure if I'll be able to get the volume I need before the race in early Oct.

Um, throw the ball to a target (9 ft)! You could measure and tape a line on the wall. Throwing the ball up 6” isn’t the same type of workout

People out so much emphasis on getting lean and strong that they decide not to bother with conditioning and getting better stamina, a mistake which as you have seen in this workout, comes to the fore very quickly. Great try at hyrox and time, keep it going.

Hyrox also does fireman carry lunges, burpee broad jumps and sled pulls. For 8 rounds. So really would you would have been taxed

My wife is a huge fan of yours. I thought about trying this and realized I am just a huge meathead now lol. NOPE. I will say though I wonder if you did this as your primary source of exercise if someone would lose muscle? My thinking is that it seems like it could make you catatonic pretty quickly if you don't time food/carbs correctly. I think if you did this 2 times a week with 3-4 times of hyperthrophy training it would be legit.

Really great performance and well done! But let's be honest, if you had done it in competition sequence like with a real Hyrox, you would easily need 1 hour and 30 minutes for a women's Hyrox, or more like 45 minutes! So the women's world record for professionals is just under 1 hour, about 58 minutes for a Hyrox professional! My best time for men over 40 was 1 hour and 31 minutes! I think Charlotte, who you also did a video and training with, and who is really damn fit, strong and has a lot of power, has a time of 1 hour 20+ minutes for a regular, real Hyrox! Hm 🤔 that would mean that with this own challenge time of 1 hour 03 minutes you would be one of the 3 best female Hyrox professionals....what do you think, when will we see you in first place at the US Hyrox Championship 🤭😉 greetings from Europe, more specifically from 🇨🇭 Switzerland 🤗🦾
