My interpretation of "ignorance is bliss", is you can't miss something you've never experienced. I come from the perspective of not seeing the Eifel Tower, not asking out whoever, or not taking a chance on something. If one didn't experience one or all of these, there is no reference to guage "missing", or missing out.

There are quite a few instances where I would disagree with the statement that “ignorance is bliss”, but there are a few truths that are just too painful for me to want to know. There are a few things that I wish I’d never have learned, some things I’d rather not have come across.
