Very confrontational with the man and the horses outside the storehouse. The "why would you do it for free" (twice) or the "I'm just down the road". Dublin born and bred, out of it for 14yrs now, only returned once in that time. Years before I left it was a dangerous kip, going into town at night, the atmosphere was violent. Living in an Eastern European country now. Have seen women walk through badly lit parks on their own late at night, after midnight at times. They were in no danger of being approached or assaulted. The only real danger here is from driving. I've driven all over Europe and I've never seen worse drivers than here. Road rage can be a problem.

Dublin has gone down hill in the last couple of years in particular...In my opinion it's mainly due to the massive amount of new arrivals...100s of thousands of them ...A huge amount are not even vetted 🤷♂️
@bogtrotterErin10 ай бұрын
Very true. The vetting processes have greatly let this country down. Also this situation where “refugees” were destroying their passports on the plane so we just had to believe where they were from. Only one case of someone doing this and going to trial. Also, people arriving from war torn countries who are living thousands of miles from the danger zones knowing that our customs guys can’t tell that as their passports have a country but not a region on them. We’ve been very lax and I hope it’s not too late to wean out the fake ‘economic’ migrants and those who just transferred from other European countries as Ireland had more to offer in terms of housing and benefits. Those benefits how and ever have been greatly reduced so we are not the glowing offer we have been previously.

De centralise drug treatment/ Injection clinics/ Methadone treatment more out of the city centre. The likes of Pearse St, Merchants Quay etc. attract addicts and dealers. every town has a drug problem, so treat the addicts locally whenever possible. Look at Coolmine, it's successful because it takes people out of that environment. What chance has anyone getting clean in a hostel or tent in the city.

As the people in my videos say friend, there’s no point going to rehab and returning to hostels or the streets. I don’t think the SIF’s will be moved as the city is where people score. I worked as a counsellor and in a needle exchange for MQI. SIF’s will save lives here. Deaths from overdose are almost equal to deaths on the roads here. SIF’s will also help clean needles and other drug taking paraphernalia off the streets and parks. Drug dealing in the area will not change as a result of SIF’s. It’s already here.

Crazy rubish .. up to the ceilings.. take weeks to find the floor.. big high room in the end.. not a vault it was in beginning.. 6 massive wiskey barrels for just the tops of gazillion srynges.. for just the metal bits.. should have just demonished it.. turn that corner and ther nearly someone or two injecting outside where the booze factory was.. i was young at the time.. and it shocked me . Never heard or anything so rough.. was terrified up on room incase it caved in and i fell into all that madness.. if i did probably just say well thats me snookered .. leave me here . Ive documented addicts lives and its shocking the stuff they were doing daily.. heart breaking in many ways.. and alot are cluster b types and dangerous.. daily.. to pthers.. and very grooming in different criminal and manipulating ways to runaways ect ! Ive seen themself flourish but the used ' buddy' crash and burn.. from young pissed off kid to old bold and unfortunately cold in the end.. all in my head like yesterday... Tried warn but sometimes be out talked by a covert narrsisist ect.. ends in tears.. for family. Could have being me.. If i had a little money for habits.. less may be more in this situation...

One thing I know and I don't travel out much to the City from South Side, but only have to walk up O Connell Street and it's not safe 🙏🏼 for women ♀️ or children, as I'm a mother of you, son grown up working etc, I've a young girl whom I'm frightened for as I do have family but I'd have to go through Dublin City centre. Day or night 🌃 not safe and things are travelling over this side slowly dumdrum Dublin 14, I wouldn't even walk alone in a park 🏞️ with my daughter anymore because of immigrants illgell middle age men 🙏🏼 💚💚🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

It’s not that dodgy…worse here in Toronto …guns now and East Asian gangs. 🤬🤦🏼♀️. Drugs in small towns. And sadly indigenous reservations in states of emergency from opiates. Not to mention the homeless and housing crisis . I’m seriously thinking of moving to your green isle my friend. I’m 55 retired with good pension…time to live happy

Yeah go for it. There’s quite a bit of violence here at the minute but it’s minimal relatively. The homeless situation is bad. That’s my next video. Do a lot of research before moving here. Property prices are through the roof. Still. This country is pretty f***in awesome to live in.

I’m from Dublin born and bread I’ve never been to that side of the town before I stay local north side since all the foreigners arrived in our town and country it’s not safe anymore Sadler but our government don’t care about their own people they have turned our town Ito a third world 😢
@bogtrotterErin10 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment Dora. I think a lot of people would agree with you. I’m Southside town centre and to be honest I feel pretty safe. I’m always around town. In terms of leaving our homeless guys in the street while seemingly housing anyone who arrives here without properly vetting them, I think it’s shameful. You would wonder what there agenda is. Although I have every empathy for the Ukrainian refugees and anyone who genuinely needs our help, the fact is this. We have taken in ten times the number of refugees that other European countries have. What’s that about? My next video is addressing that. We give all these tax breaks to multinational companies and become a wealthy country yet still can’t house our guys living in tents on Henry st etc. Makes no sense to me.
@doragibbons297710 ай бұрын
Government is responsible for this our own people on the streets and their only concern if you can call it that is refugees coming in to our country constantly and wondering were the can house them in the meantime no accommodation for our people with nowhere to sleep but it will continue until people come together and stand up for our rights to a better future for them
@bogtrotterErin10 ай бұрын
I couldn’t agree more. That’s the topic of my next video and I’m getting views from homeless guys on the street. This government is a scandal with very badly chosen policies and procedures. Shame on them.

I have been living in Dublin since 2014, and the change for really bad was after the COVID and by that time wasn’t any refugee crisis. I respect your opinion but I think your portraying of the city js Bias and not accurate, there’s a lot of issues from neighbourhood that are not many foreigns livings there. Being self-critical about real local problems is not easy, but drawing a city ruined by illegal immigration in Dublin is at the very least biased and poor. That’s my humble opinion.

The brown isn't as popular as it use to be. Drugs now days are different there was no Crack cocaine crystal meth or spice. when I was a addict thank God. I'd no doubt be dead or have serious mental problems. Recovery is a beautiful thing ❤
