Chiming in as an adult who was adopted by her stepdad as a child. Obviously I know you were joking about burning the adoption papers, but for the sake of answering your wonderings, the adoption papers aren’t the only “paper trail.” When you get adopted, you get a whole new birth certificate and social security card (I can only speak to how it works in the US). Your new birth certificate lists the name(s) of your adoptive parent(s) and fully replaces your old birth certificate.

The second caller was a great storyteller, and im really glad that everyone was okay in the end. It reminded me a lot of a girl i grew up with who got really into alcohol in highschool, she started having these kinds of problems around 17. Stuff like the running off and being physically uncooperative and uncontrollable, and it didnt always go very well. I wont get into it on a youtube comment, but a less bad incident was one night she was super drunk, running around the riverside with her foot cut open from broken glass in the river, yelling and not letting anyone look at her foot injury. So yeah, you just dont want something to get that bad. (Sorry for the long comment, love the video)

During the wedding, their parents (both single) met, and they started dating and eventually married. (My cousin’s dad is divorced from my aunt) My cousin and her (now ex) husband went on to have 5 kids but just got divorced within the past couple of years.
