I'm a vet tech and thus have handled many recently deceased animals. We once euthanized a cat and when I brought the remains back to the treatment room after the family had said their goodbyes, the cat started turning its head back and forth. I double checked and there was no heartbeat or pulse, and the cat was not breathing. I got the doctor, and she also confirmed the cat was definitely dead. There was simply still residual electrical activity in the muscles of the neck, causing the head to move. It will haunt me forever, but I am so happy it didn't happen in front of the family. As upsetting as it was for me, it would have been far worse for the people who loved that cat. The doctor ultimately had me wait an extra half an hour before placing the cat in a cadaver bag and taking it to the feezer for the crematory to pick up.

The body may seize and flicker, but that doesn't tell us much about how the actual thinking organism is feeling. It's either scared and anxious because it is experiencing something new and scary (in which case having it's humans around would help stabilize it's emotions during death) or relatively calm because it's surrendering to the sensation of death. Lot's of animals have pathology to simply go limp and dumb when being killed or eaten and spacing out. Like a inborn anesthetic for their bodies and minds.

My interpretation of Lazarus Zoe being evil is that when Ava went to "hell" and saw young Zoe, it showed her that Zoe started a fire that killed people, hinting that there might be some lingering psychological issues with her. If you’re an introvert and intelligent, social iteraction actually becomes way easier when you treat it analytically. In small talk scenarios, people are pretty algorithmic and most respond similarly to similar stimuli (for example, people like talking about themselves and their interests as long as it’s not too personal or private). If you pay attention, you can create conversation skills with enough practice. It does require you to care about your conversational partner’s experience though.

Only thing that comes to mind to explain the DMT release in the brain when dying, would be that with humans being social animals by "moving on" at peace would decrease the likely hood that those "left behind" would succub to depression making it easier for them to get back on their feet and do what they need to do to survive durring that time period. CONGRATS on the 1 MILLION dude, think i started watching you when you had 200K or less and it has been such a treat to watch and listen as your language has changed and evolved to avoid getting your videos taken down by YT and copy write strikes. @chameleonx92538 ай бұрын
I would assume the DMT is an incidental side effect of some other trait that evolved for a reason. Perhaps for some reason it's linked to a gene that does something useful, and the near death acid trip is just coming along for the ride?
@alexandervelez95078 ай бұрын
the effects of the dmt can’t be seen from outside of the dead body and we didn’t even know it happened until recently so evolution picked a pretty horrible way of letting our loved ones know we’re at peace if that’s the case. lol

Yea way silly idea there and doesn’t even conform to how and why we grieve. You’ve lost no one of importance to you personally OBVIOUSLY 🙄🤡😂
@alexdryver50908 ай бұрын
@@alexandervelez9507 To know that the effect can not be detected from the outside without machines you would need to witness both it's presence and absence under similar conditions. If the DMT rush almost always happens in humans then it's presence is just what death looks like. The better way to investigate this is to look at other animals to see if any of them have it and if the are any evolutionary commonalities.

Ooorrr it could just be dumb luck. Random mutations happen all the time. Back in the day Unga-Bunga's brain just happened to develop in this way, he had a load of kids who also picked up the adaptation, UB kicked the bucket and no-one knew he got a free checking-out show, what a bummer. But his kids had kids, the adaptation spread, and here we are. Just because we have something it doesn't always mean it's there for a reason. Looking at you appendix. Also, 90% of people are right-handed. Why? There's no inherent advantage to being either right or left-handed overall, only in certain situations. Looking at it in terms of beneficial effect, really ambidextrous people should be the overwhelming majority as that must be more practical use. So just because something becomes prevalent in our 'design' doesn't always mean it's necessarily the best option, sometimes it's just the one that got lucky.

As a person who was raised Catholic, the question “How did we come to be and where do we go?” was the sole driving force that made me double major in Biochemistry and Clinical Neuroscience. Maybe DMT release before death is an adaptation to prevent us from damaging each other in our last moments of life to protect our communal life style, most animals go rambo with pain and so on while on their last legs, given that we humans became more communal over time we develop counter measures to not destroy our community by going rambo while dying. Idk man I’ve done DMT. Once I did it everything went crazy, it sounded like rockets going off in my ears, everything started to vibrate and change form. I closed my eyes and tilted back then I was in a large empty pitch black chamber. Or void. It seemed endless but had depth it was very weird. I started to freak out and panic. Thinking I was dead and I made a huge mistake. Then I heard a loud booming voice tell me “do not be afraid, everything will be okay” after that I relaxed and then a white light above my head exploded with waves of color that I couldn’t never hope to describe in detail. Everything blended and moved, shifting endlessly into one another. Shapes appeared all over , fractal patterns of light and color making shapes. Like you’re inside a kaleidoscope on crack. 3 different beings tried to talk to me or interact with me while in the kaleidoscope. One was a feminine figure kneeled in a garden working. (Btw these figures looked exactly like the walls of the kaleidoscope, they were made of moving color/shapes with a black outline that defined their form.) while she was there the colors were green and blues, a masculine figure came sitting like the Buddha with a staff. His colors were red and orange with some yellows, I can’t remember the last being but it had antlers and those antlers started branching and multiplying and growing. Each entity tried to show me something. The garden lady picked something and tried to show me. The Buddha guy bowed to me and then stuck his hand out to show me something. Same as the last tho I can’t remember his motions. Each time I tried to look in their hand they disappeared. Then a few more minutes of color and flying through hyperspace and I came back to my body. By the way I did NOT want to come back. I wanted to stay. I was not allowed to stay. I was told I had to leave or at least felt I had to leave. I came back to my body and everything was made of circles. Those circles were all vibrating tightly packed together. As time went on the circles faded back into straight lines and the world we all know. Whatever DMT is we do not understand it. It is not simply a chemical that makes you hallucinate. Until you’ve done it you can’t really speak on its experience or purpose. I’ve done a few different types of hallucinogens. Nothing is like dmt. All of them you are in the real world and can understand you are tripping. DMT does not feel like that at all.
@SavedByFaith99815 ай бұрын
God is very real. And through those experiences with DMT and the experiences after the trip was God exposing his existence to me personally. Using methods he knew would grab my attention and belief. He knew the exact way to reach me. God is good. If you look hard enough anywhere you’ll find our father’s signature.
@VengenceWolf7 ай бұрын
My theory of the release of DMT is that it became a function that allowed a less violent reaction during death (lashing out etc) which helps protect the group. This trait may have been a mutation, but some animals leave their groups to pass, and maybe it's kinda related.

Honestly yeah I figured its either that or just making it less traumatic for people watching the last throes of someone and causing PTSD. As another molecular biologist and an occultist, I agree that the concept of the release of pre-mortem DMT creating a feeling of calm to reduce trauma for a theoretical transition between one state of being and other, or the retrieval of the information stored within the material consciousness by a higher dimensional aspect of that being does make sense within a framework of this existence being a subset of a larger transcendent intelligence.

The act of dying is the most frightening event in your life and the brain helps you deal with it by releasing some DMT. I know for a fact since I have been dead for half a minute and was brought back. And believe me I am not bullshitting here, fear of death can not be compared to anything you might have experienced before, it's a whole different ballgame. Even 20 years later I am on the edge of a full grown anxiety attack every time my sub consciousness even tries to remember this feeling. Safe to say, my natural DMT didn't work properly since I was already drugged with other stuff. Still sober enough to take the whole experience in. It was horrifying beyong compare, which still is the understatement of the century.

It could be a mixture of the two. Died and soul went to hell. But time works differently on the other side. She was dead for an hour, soul spent, what did she say, six months in Hell. Think about it in terms of Dean Winchester. Four months real time, 40 years in Hell. Even Dean essentially became a demon and a torturer for Hell after enough torture. So what came back for the evolved character was still her. But it was her after getting tortured enough that she became demonic herself.

the "playing god" argument never works for me as someone with a basic understanding of the christian bible. If god has an infallible plan, he wouldn't have created humans capable of creating things for ourselves. Anything a human does is part of god's plan.
@retsaMinnavoiG3 ай бұрын
The general reasoning is that everything is known to God and comes from him but he gave people free will to be evil or bad and cause pain and suffering (to themselves and others). Essentially he has always known what you're going to do during your life and he knows if you're going to bad things but he didn't make you do them and he won't stop you (at least directly). He knows what you're going to do but you didn't have to, it was your choice and everybody can be bad or good. I have so many problems with that reasoning but it contradicts your point.
