Is it good for touring?⎮Ducati Supersport 950 S

I have always loved sportbikes. 3 years ago i bought a 2017 Supersport S.
Last season i sold the 2017 model and got a 2021 supersport 950 S.
The reason why I bought the supersport in 2019 was because I was looking for a more comfortable sportbike.I use this bike mostly for touring.
The question is...Is it a good touring bike?

I did 7000 km this summer with my wife on my 950s with the touring kit and touring saddle …for me much beter as multistrada i have tested various times without speaking how beautiful it is

Just to let you know that Ducati updated the super sport 950 the quick shift is standard for the 950S and the normal 950 the biggest difference is the price now just under £15 thousand pounds for the 950 and just over £16 thousand pounds the 950S the quick shift evo is standard on both bikes now and full led flood lights

Good overview! Thanks. I really wish Honda still produced and invested in fuel injection for the SuperHawk, VTR1000. Ducati carried on with their version as it has evolved. It's such a nice looking bike.

I had a 2018 model. Toured down to Southern Italy (from north of England) and it was perfect. I wish I’d never sold it. But I am getting a 950s. After the Supersport I’ve had two Multistrada 1200s, and they weren’t as good for touring in my opinion. My last bike was an S1000RR - great bike, but I don’t miss it like the Supersport. Wow. Better for touring than a multistrada? I am in between those two and have not made my mind yet. Only other thing is passenger comfort for the occasional trip with her.

Multitrada was not an option. I think the Norden will be better on gravel roads/mountain roads. Talked to one of the staff at the dealership and she told me that the Norden was 👍 on the pillion seat.

Thanks mate. Haven’t spent any time in Liverpool😁 Loved this bike to🫶 This was my second Supersport. Sadly I have sold it and gone with some completely different…Husky Norden 901. If I can afford to have 2 bikes in the future I will get another Supersport 👍

Almost no vibration. Handles really good in traffic. It gets hot under the seat when you are in traffic but I am used to that. Best Ducati I have owned. Have just sold it and bought a Norden 901. It is time to try something else after many years with Ducati. ADV next.

Personally I dont think the low skilled to average rider need the Öhlins suspension, they will hardly notice the difference to the one installed in the normal version. (I got it, its a great one too) And the normal version has a quickshifter too. So the only advantage of S version is the Öhlins and the ability to get it in the white color. Discussable but in my opinion not worth the upprice of 2k

Just wanted to share my opinion about the S model, as you recommended buying the S. The base model is definetly a great option too. Never even once regretted buying it

They are original. The Supersport comes with the handlebars.

My wife has been a pillion a few times and she said that it was nice. If you are going on a trip with a pillion you have to have panniers. Alone this bike is mega on trips👍
