MashaaAllaah. Shaykh Yaser Qadhi covers a lot of points in this lecture. Generally, speaking he covers the topic of complaining, believers only complain to Allaah, its ruling in islam, different forms of complaining, the five rulings of fiqh on the act of complaining, did the prophets ever complain, the perfection of faith of prophet muhammad, why did scholars of our past dislike complaining, examples from the prophet's life of permissible forms of venting, the human limits of patience in this topic of complaining. JazakAllaahu khayran to shaykh, as usual a topic of aqidah. Shaykh ends with the benefits of not complaining.

In my view, believers who have strong Imman and Taqwa, they accept everything is provided to them by the ALLAH (SWT) and do NOT complaint to Him, also, grateful what is given to them are the pious people! If anyone complaining about not having materialistic things and, experience some problems are regarded weak people. May ALLAH (SWT) forgive us, our parents and guide us towards the straight path, so that we could fulfill all our obligatory and humanitarian duties diligently - Aameen!

I complain to you of my weakness, my scarcity of resources and humiliation before the people. O Most Merciful! The Lord of the weak and my Lord too! To whom have You entrusted me? To one who does not care for me? Or have You appointed my enemy as master of my affairs? So as long as You are not angry with me, I care not. Your favor is abundant for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face, by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Your anger or your displeasure descend upon me. I desire your pleasure and satisfaction until You are pleased. There is no power (to do good) and no might (to refrain from evil) except with You. (Ar-Raheeq-Al-Makhtum)

What about psychotherapy or psychoanalysis, which can be argued as an everyday human need? This involves a lot of complaining. What about receiving the equivalent of psychotherapy from a friend or a relative or even neighbors who are not specialist psychotherapists by complaining and discussing with them? What is the ruling of the Shariah on this?

If his disturbance is harmless, stay away from him if you find him annoying. If he is causing harm, do what is necessary to solve the problem in the best possible way pleasing to Allah. "Allah does not burden a soul with more than it can bear"

Speaking to a psychiatrist? Is that OK? I'm a dialysis patient with underline health issues can I say that to others so they can understand my position? Some say if you talk about your feelings it gets lighter is that OK? Your boss is injustice so you complaining to him is that OK?

If you are saying it in private with nobody listening except you and Allah, I would treat that as a different case than somebody saying these words in public. Whether verbalizing these words is acceptable or not, I do not know.
