@@bobbybower9405 personally if I was a parent I wouldn’t mind my kid being around girls or boys. I think if your going to date someone first pray about it. I think once you are mature and are strong firm believer in Christ than I would allow “dating”. The problem is most teenagers aren’t mature. So I wouldnt exactly slap a age limit on when you can date but I would over the age of around 16 but like I said that can vary because of the maturity level.

I need to play this to the teenagers in my Sunday school class. Social media has really negatively influenced the way teenagers develop, going fast is the new trend. Seeking God and excelling at school should be their priorities now.

I cant see any good in it, especially "going steady". It fans the flames of sexual desire. Teenage boys testosterone levels are incredibly high. Matching potential opportunity with that powerful desire creates a huge dilemma for the Christian. Give in to sin, and deal with the spiritual and emotional consequences that are many. OR live in a state of perpetual frustration, distracted from academics, church, athletics, family etc. Once the line is crossed, many young ladies lose their purpose and identity in life other than to orbit and please that young man. As dangerous as driving while blindfolded. Everything else goes out the window or becomes secondary to the relationship. Young men become so intoxicated by the sexual experience, it can become as addictive as a narcotic, riskng them to seek more partners, and toward a depraved mind. The risks for physical and spiritual disaster are huge. Pregnancy, STDs, etc.

Nonsense. Mary was a teenager around 17 when jesus was born. If your kids are not mature at that point. Its your fault. I personally moved out at 15, it was in the 70s and i was normal at that time. My parens,both of the worked full time from the age of 13. Again normal. The culture tells you other wise though.

@@simonpedersen9703 scientifically speaking our brains aren’t fully mature by 25 and I don’t know if it had to do with generations of a culture change because 2000 years is a huge difference culturally from now and just because it worked out for you it doesn’t mean that it’s a general rule for every teenager I do not think the same way I did when I was 17 years old with my first boyfriend that is ridiculous the choices I made back then were very immature I did not have experience about the world until I moved out around 18 or 19 then I started to get my own experience and yes I’ve made mistakes along the way but that is bound to happen for any young adult

I dated this guy my senior year I was 17 and thought I knew love....no...it was idealism and lust.... I’m married now 26 since I was 21 and we have matured so much already and I don’t think the same way from when I was 17 or 21...dating should definitely be for early 20s onward. Getting a higher education wasn’t what I wanted I felt moved by being a homemaker since I was a child. Relationships are a huge responsibility in high school it’s all about hormones...it’s rare that it’s ever “love”. Kids confuse love with lust 90 percent of the time...

@@speakersr-lyefaudio6830 I wasn’t “religious” at all in high school and was rejected 90 percent of the time. If people don’t like you because you believe in God they are not worth the time anyway. Anyways people get rejected because of maybe their personality or just the shallow part looks. I wasn’t quite the catch in high school then I blossomed after and guys would be in line. Lol 😆

Hey bro, my advice for you is to trust in God. You don't have to worry about that, if a girl is destined to be your wife, she won't reject you or you will be able to discern that she is godly and that you'll love to spend the rest of your days with her. @@johnwept5250 thank you so much for this comment. I really like a girl from my youth group and I’m pretty sure she likes me back, we talk everyday and go running together often. We are both very mature and very strong in our faith, so lately I’ve been thinking about going out with her on a real date, and start our relationship now (we’re both almost 17 years old). But your comment helped me realize that If God wants me to marry her (which I’m very sure he does), He will make that happen and when the time is right He will give us the opportunity to go out. And in the meantime I should invest more time into my faith, and be an even better friend to her. Once again, thank you!🙃

I don't think it should be banned, but heavily guided and they should be mature and spiritually sound. I am 14 and I have absolutely no interest in romantic relationships till I'm a fully functional adult.
