I've had a medical grade UVB narrowband (311), for over 20 years, prescribed for psoriasis. About 2 or so years after I purchased it, I started on Enbrel. Enbrel basically removed the necessity for the light treatment as far as psoriasis is concerned but I still have the light and use it, more in the Winter vs. the Florida Summer. UVB 311 nm light waves produce the highest level of D for the given dose. I still take D3, cod liver oil and sardines. My last D 25 OH was 79 ng/ml. The Sun's near infrared light has been shown to raise intracellular melatonin. Helpful tip...get your methylation under control and you won't burn.

How many times a week do you use the UVB narrowband and how long is each session?

@@rdance3 Thanks - what's your dose then? I'm currently getting about 150mJ/cm^2 (NIST calibrated data, 275-300nm) from my Phillips broadband uvb bulbs, 4x/week fitzpatrick type 3. Been looking for typical prescriptions and it looked like you got one from a provider.

I think the discrepancy between vitamin D epidemiology and randomized trials of vitamin D is that sunlight itself is good for human biology for multiple reasons, and vitamin D serves as a biomarker for sun exposure in people who don’t supplement.

What about her negative comments about vitamin D supplementation, potentially sucking out minerals or whatever? It's easy to agree on getting direct sun, but could it now be harmful to supplement too much vitamin D during winter (e.g. if you have to take 10k iu to keep blood levels above 50)?

I thought seneff said that once the vit d sulfate reached the target cells, it split into its two component parts: vit d and sulphate. Would the former not then be free to act on the vdr?
@chrismasterjohn
@chrismasterjohn Жыл бұрын
Yes but then why is the sulfate important?
@kevineakins5276
@kevineakins5276 Жыл бұрын
As i remember and please correct me if I err... this is what Stephanie was saying - the sulphate molecule is a carrier molecule that combines with and so allows fat soluble molecules (cholesterol or heparin or whatever is carried in this sulphated way) that would otherwise need lipoprotein or other specialised protein carriers to travel in the blood, and - once it reaches the cell, the combination of the vit d (or heparin or cholesterol... etc. ) and sulphate splits up - the former does it’s thing (vit d engages with vdr etc... ) and - simultaneously the sulphate engages with the glycocalyx molecules on the surface of the endothelial cells to assist the formation of EZ water layer - the EZ or gelled liquid crystalline water allows an “ice rink” low friction “surface” that repels the negatively charged RBCs permitting them to slip past the very thin capillaries, thus - maintaining low blood pressure and easing the pumping load on the heart - in a KZbin video she talks about how an electrical gradient that’s thereby established at the arterial-venous junction in the capillaries creates a relatively positive charge on the venous side further assisting the pulling of the RBCs across the capillaries - she also argued in a WAPF article) that SO4 is a back up mechanism for NO induced blood vessel dilation - exactly how the cellular micro environment manages the last step I have no idea (dr seneff being the expert there) Love your work BTW

If you have sibo go for the low hanging fruits, get you hcl sorted... if this is working sibo should never happen. Next get your digestive enzymes sorted, again if they're working the bacteria will get less acces to the nutrients thus starve.

Most of this has nothing to do with the title of your video. What does vitamin D sulfate do and is it important? In a very roundabout answer, no. What was far more interesting is that sulfate production occurs in the skin, which I would say is very important. Your one point was sufficient, that vitamin D sulfate works differently from vitamin D. That's basically what half of this video was on with non of the details. Yes, there's a body of knowledge, but what? Your articles and videos are usually very informative. This video had a lot of fluff and repetition and vague info I could've read on Google in 60 seconds. With that said, there were nuggets of very interesting information. 🍵🙏

That is the fault of the topic asked about, not my presentation. There is no science on the specific benefits of vitamin D sulfate. Stefanie Seneff formulated this as a very roundabout hypothesis, so I had to chase it roundabout the arguments she used.

Idk about studies but conceptually I think it should help sulfur production , helping sulfation of polyphenols to detoxify them, and because iNOS is used for the sulfur instead of nitric oxide maybe less nitric oxide. There's sulfation problems in autism even though cysteine is high , not converting properly. Mercury and molybdenum play a role in that But theoretically sunlight exposure might help sulfation in autism through another mechanism Also as mentioned cholesterol gets sulfated, for better water solubility & transport , which could play a role in immunity and the heart disease efficacy point potentially

One thing that I do when I go to the beach is to try to be there early or late. Enjoying the beach in the hours around noon is a really bad idea. The sun should be lower in the sky.

But isnt it true that you should be out when there are UVAs. UVAs are what affects you for vitamind D. They only come out around noon when the sun is high. I use the dminder app to track this, and I have personally felt that sunlight only actual works when you can feel it. (sorry if its explained in the video havent watched it yet)

Very good. I live in Florida and have to take 10,000iu D3 per day to achieve a 83ng/ml. I define healthy 25 hydroxy above 60ng/ml. Trying to figure out ideal amount amount of sun to optimize 25hydroxy is impossible since there are too many variables. Get sun since it doesnt cause cancer. But get your 25 hydroxy checked. Also get a live blood analysis.

@@linneasimchah1621 you are correct everyone absorbs D3 differently. My fiance takes 5000iu D3 daily and achieves 92ng/ml. 10,000 iu is only .25 mg. DR Coimbra has protocols for MS at much higher doses but should be monitored by doctor trained in autoimmune high dose D3.
