@@ThoughtAdventurePodcast is it true that umar was a staunch enemy of islam and when he heard the quran he converted? how many people from the jews, christians and pagans in the first 13 yrs of the prophets preaching converted and risked their life for him (the prophet) ? thanks
@mrdoteded39583 жыл бұрын
@@ThoughtAdventurePodcast now i know that not risking your life for a miracle does not refute the truth of the miracle, but is it true that many converts were on the battled field along side the prophet risking their lives?
@mrdoteded39583 жыл бұрын
@@ThoughtAdventurePodcast i kindly ask if you or your team can address these question because many christian apologists say "no one died for the miracles muhammad did" My contention is that not dying for the miracle does not refute the miracle, but if people died for the prophet by risking their lives on the battle field, then prophet from the christian point of view is a confirmed prophet when they employ the argument that "no one would die for a lie"

Even scientists don't deny something because it contradicts the contemporary observed "law" of nature or physics. One example is the "law" that an accelerating charged particle loses its energy through electromagnetic radiation due to something called Larmor formula. This was an established law in electrodynamics. But then Bohr proposed a new model of atom (actually just made some revisions to Rutherford's model of atom) whereby electrons revolve around the nucleus of an atom. Even though it was known that accelerating charged particles lose energy, and therefore electrons in orbit would lose energy and fall into the nucleus which if it was true would destabilize every matter in existence, such a model was not rejected. Rather they created an "exception" to that law and said electrons do not lose energy in their "stationary" orbits (that's what they called the orbit where electrons energy remained the same) and only lose or gain energy if they move from one stationary orbit to another. So yeah, using arguments such as miracles are irrational because they contradict "laws" of nature is not only fallacious but also unscientific.

SubhanAllah it's kinda funny how the first guest proved Quranic verses to be true and hence holding it up as the Living Miracle. They will not accept even if they were to ascend the heavens and a book of gold was given to them directly.

Assalamalaikum. When watching this stream I heard Karlos mention at around 30:10 that he was on a previous stream related to science and proving God or something along those lines but didn't see that posted on the channel. Was it a stream on someone else's channel or posted somewhere else? And is there anyway I can have access to listen to it if it was? I'm trying to follow these streams in chronological order to have exposure to as many viewpoints and arguments as possible to help strengthen or reassess my positions on many of these philosophical, theological and scientific topics. Jazakallah Khair and fantastic work as always.

Do you think personal testimony, all by itself, is a sufficient type of evidence to conclude that a supernatural event did indeed occur, or do you require something more than a person just saying, "believe me!"?
@saracentiano3 жыл бұрын
The simple reason why we do not have any miracles any more is that no matter what miracle happens, an atheist or a non believer in miracles will either deny it or accept it as a very rare occurence all within the laws of nature. The very definition of miracle is mired in personal conceptual experience. A Muslim, especially a sufi, sees miracles in every passing moment. Everywhere he sees, he sees God (by this I mean he sees the evidence of a necessary omnipotent sustainer being at work).

A note on the miracles as it was referred in this podcast, that it was something given to the prophets to prove their legitimacy to their followers, and the final miracle being the Quran. Yes, that's True in a way but the way it was conveyed tries to imply that there's been a Cap on miracles since then. Miracles has not stopped, the sahabas and later generations have mentioned of experiences of miracles in the books. Also people who were considered awliya by Muslims has miracles attributed to them. Secondly Claims of miracles could get arbitrary at some point, as followers from all religions claim them. It becomes very convenient for followers to belie the claims of others by saying theirs were from God, and the rest were from Satan. I strongly believe Reason and Logic(which you guys are amazingly doing) and it's correlation with Revelation is the strongest proof for Religion as it's demonstrable and reproducible at any given time. It's accessible by everyone at all times and not subjective comparatively.

Brother Jake, I saw Nio in EFdawah stream today made a claim that Saint Athenagoras of Athens (died 190CE) believed in the Nicean Trinity (the father, son and holy spirit are co equal and co eternal) How could this be when the creed was established in 325 CE? Please can you look into this. Jazakallahu khairan 😊

Tbh akhi, Nio just says things without any evidence. I noticed in many streams across the dawah brothers. He will say this such and such church quoted the trinity or something. Majority of the time, u will find either this straight lie or its him just regurgitating what he his priest told him without checking it. Simply cuz when u he is asked for a reference. He doesn't give it. Also never belive Nio when says such and such church before the council also believed in the trinity or was known to quote it. This just straight up lie. His Christians scholars have already done research on this and found no church father or any early Christians believing in the trinity. Its just an assumption from trinitarian and its wishful thinking.

People ask give us miracles, so God does so; then people ask how can a rational person believe in something that is so miraclous? The best example is Moses and the staff into snake. It is a low key miracle so simple that people could be fooled into thinking it is a magic trick. But the magicians knew that it was not. It is asking for what is beyond the capability of Humans, and yet after the matter, it became a barrier for other's belief.
