Interesting discovery about the VRAM on this card. I went hunting for Samsungs datasheets and discovered that the VRAM on the back of the card is rated for 0.25ns speed/8Gbps throughput, which if I didn't screw up on the calculations means the cards VRAM is rated for 2000MHz, yet it only runs at 1375MHz according to GPU-Z. Sounds like A LOT of OC potential... actually it's not even OC since the card basically underclocks the VRAM by default lol. Would be interesting to see how far it can actually be pushed and how much of a difference that makes in the real world. but yeah: K4G41325FS-HC28 translates into K = Samsung 4 = DRAM G = GDDR5 SGRAM 41 = 4Gbit, 16K/32ms (4 gigabit = 512 megabyte per chip) 32 = x32 organization 5 = 16 banks F = POD_15 interface (1.5V VDD, 1.5V VDDQ) S = 19th generation - H = 170FBGA package (halogen/lead free, flip-chip) C = normal temperature range (ie not extended/industrial) 25 = 0.25ns (8000Mbps) speed (= 2000MHz)

AFOX was and I think still is pretty popular in the Philippines for cards, at least from hobby stores and not the one on malls since they are more or less stacked with the mainstream manufacturers. If I recall correctly there were more of these rather foreign manufacturers such as "Ninja" amongst others. They don't sell new models though and is more likely aimed towards the PC Cafes, and Game hubs around the South East Asia. The larger than what is considered normal memory relates to this, as the people would be playing esports or emulators and needs a large graphics memory to run more than 1 instances.

Xbox, PlayStation have been using it already for years. It is unlikely to go any further as it was a response to the GPU shortage. Now this is finished so will be development on technologies which allow for older hardware to keep up. Its not in the manufacturer interest to extend them more already. 3-5 years is the upgrade cycle of a PC. This is industry certified and a standard. Cost to performance. They won't go outside unless for extreme circumstances such as a GPU shortage. This is why this technology came. In short don't be such a cheap ass and hold onto the same machine for too long. It impacts the rest of the market. Just take a look at steam hardware survey. Over 60% have a modern GPU within the last 5 years. For development this indicates that RTX and other technologies can be safely implemented without pushing half your customers away.

5:19 “a pocket knife” you say? If you can fit a traditional Bowie in your pockets there’s something wrong with your trousers!? 😄 Great review, Nvidia did talk about re-releasing some older models last year to help alleviate the GPU apocalypse, I presume this has come out of those efforts? You really shouldn’t have shown that fiver on screen, now it can be counterfeited!

I was skeptical at 1st but after the gpuz footage this gpu is legit. Surely, that 4 GB VRAM is a bit wasted, but it's nice to have it there nonetheless. Anyway, great video as always, now i want to get one as well lol OK: I just googled the price and cheapest is 150 quid fml bruh
@alinzelnan3 жыл бұрын
You could try setting the texture settings higher, especially at 720p/1080p, I don't think it will affect performance that much except when you reach the VRAM limit.

I first played The Witcher 3 on a 650Ti with 1GB of VRAM, & somehow still have fond memories. Pretty sure it was my favorite game for that GPU.

G'day Random, Living up to your name finding these rarities 😁 I just had a look on Ebay Australia & we can get this one AU $265.25, GTX750Ti 4GB AU $272.20 & RX550 4GB AU $347.67 with postage between $40-$53 from a UK Seller that is a huge price hike to more than double over a Local used 2GB version of the GTX models & double a new RX550 4GB too making a RX560 4GB a better deal here.

RandomGaminginHD : these was a Gigabyte GTX 750 4GB Windforce 2X OC (GV-N75TWF2OC-4GI) which I owned briefly....and I was surprised by how well the Maxwell GTX 900 based GPU performed that was released almost 1 whole year prior to the actual Maxwell GTX 900 series (which released in real world availability in November of 2014).

I was expecting this to be a hacked bios- until you got it out of the box, and not many hack job graphics cards have that level of detail... and I was very surprised it can use the 4gb of gddr5. A very interesting card tbh
@kieron88ward3 жыл бұрын
Actually does a decent job. I think these cards are often made for far east gaming centres where people often play esport style games.
