As Salam Alaykum Sheikh Yasir, I want to thank you for this (and other) Q&A's. Like always, for taking the time to answering every question in depth, even with the numerous tangents for each question. I believe this is an element of the Sunnah and our Shariah to responding with what is better and more beneficial for the questioner (or/and listeners in this case). 'Tangent :) : I wanted to add a corresponding hadith but didn't find the right one now. Perhaps will post an later, or someone else who knows will.' There should be no apology for going into the beneficial and necessary tangents where sound knowledge is in question. I would hope that we the listeners would (if we haven't already) endeavour to educate ourselves on the adhab and amanah incumbent upon us to seeking knowledge and asking questions in Islam, which is often different to those in circular education. May ALLAH SWT bless you .Please upload a video on evils of dowry . still going in our community not only in uneducated ignorant people but more in highly qualified people. .My daughter is a doctor ALHAMDULILLAH just.completed her MASTERS IN OBGY , Recently we got a marriage proposal from a equally qualified doctor it seemed a good match to us since the boy and his family followed all aspects of Islam , but to our utter shock they asked what will we be giving their son in marriage , they clearly said we will marry our son where we get a better deal, and the boy didn’t utter a word against this evil demand , in spite of him being highly educated and particularl about salah and Quran , he even writes blogs on humanity, Shaikh please guide him .

IVF is a very selfish procedure in that it’s all about what YOU (the adult) wants. Me me me me attitude, nobody is entitled to a child, the same way some people are poor or rich as wealth is bestowed by Allah, you are not automatically entitled to have a child. Consider that your childlessness is a test from Allah and that if Allah wills you will have a child and if He does not you won’t. Living in is hedonistic society where everything we want we believe we are entitled to does not align with Islamic principles of Qadr or the fact that this life is temporary and we will return to our creator. If you truly trust Allah, you wouldn’t go through this unGodly procedure called IVF where so called doctors and scientists try and play God. Even if it’s your husband’s sperm that makes it ‘halal’ there are ethical issues with how the other embryos that don’t get picked are treated. Consider adopting, but adopting requires you thinking about the needs of the child rather than your own wishes and/or entitlement which easy access to IVF allows you to buy.

TORTURE IS TORTURE, regardless of the "goal". Use your common sense! You should NEVER dismember or boil a live animal. It is ignorant to think water dwelling animals don't SUFFER (torture = causing needless suffering). They are "Vertebrates" with complex nervous systems. It doesn't matter that they do not have the same blood as land animals. It HAS been scientifically shown that sea creatures experience pain and have feelings. You don't need science to observe that fish and MAMMALS including whales, are sentient beings. Whales raise and protect their calves. Why do fish flail around when hooked and definned? I wish you could see the expressions of fear and pain. How can you say it's not real? The lack of empathy and understanding is disturbing. It is CRUEL and UNNECESSARY treatment of animals. I know you don't have a background in biology, so please don't present ignorance such as this. The man from days of old who condoned Muslims dismembering a live whale clearly did not know either. So his opinion should be disregarded as well. I hope that you will retract this misguidance that you have put out there. May Allah SWT guide the ignorant and punish the evil doers. Finally, I ask people to use their hearts. If an animal appears to be suffering, then it is. You don't need to try to rationalize what you can clearly see , or explain it away with science.

If any Muslim questions what I am saying, they should pray sunnah and ask Allah SWT to guide them. There are several questionable pseudo-scientific claims out there which can be misleading.

Important info I need to add- Many animals do not express fear/pain in a way that people understand. Esp.considering most fish, whales, and invertebrates do not vocalize much, or at all. So they can be suffering terribly and not showing it in a way that people recognize. A fish thrown on a fire and a whale dismembered alive on a beach may not say anything, but they are being tortured. The examples in the video are really disturbing. People did not want to wait 2 minutes for the fish to die naturally, before they threw them on a fire. Think of how you would feel if you were an animal. Would you rather die in a natural manner, or be burned and dismembered alive? Allah told us to use our brains and hearts. The Quran tells us to be kind to animals. It is wrong to hurt these innocent beings due to some ill advised historical incidents. Allah is the lawmaker and He knows best.
