Thank you for becoming my source for knowledge and skill. An academic may call it the fountain of knowledge. I have to say yours and another one channel, videlicet M539, can teach television producers a thing or two about editing as well as script writing ✍. Well done, you have me subscribed!

I drove a 518i E28 once and whilst it wasn't going to set any speed records, it certainly was torquey and hustled along respectably.

Did you change the rubber washers that are undet the blind nuts that hold the valve cover ?
@DeadEndRestorations Жыл бұрын
I did not, I'm guessing those get hard and cause leaks too??
@morm608 Жыл бұрын
@@DeadEndRestorations over time they shrink, and you cannot make enough pressure on the valve covee gasket because the nut is blind. The cheap solution is adding a washer between the rubber one and the nut.

@@DeadEndRestorations so I’m about to tackle this project soon. Where’d you get those crimps?
@DeadEndRestorations Жыл бұрын
@sadpancakes6075 look up the part number on realoem.com and google the part number. Depending on where you live you have different options. Really you can use a screw type crimp as well its not necessary they be these ones

Which one the valve covers or power steering lines? ;)
@WaddupBoi2 жыл бұрын
@@DeadEndRestorations Valve covers I'm 99.9% done, lost one of the rubber grommets somewhere in the engine bay so I'll have to source that and fit it. Power steering is leaking, and it looks like it's in multiple areas too, it's hard to figure out where exactly it's coming from
@DeadEndRestorations2 жыл бұрын
Ya the grommets can fly around for sure. Power steering is tricky, just hope for your sake its not the small ones behind the driver headlight… 🤮
