Rick my man, you need, and i cannot stress this enough, you NEED to put together an album with phrasing like this. I really enjoy your old ep but would love to see your new style and shred put into some music from you man!

daniel reeves you may like David maxim micic
@ohaidere127 жыл бұрын
Check out Chon, Intervals, Polyphia, Plini, Their Dogs Were Astronauts, and Earthside. They all have some similar stuff. Best ones are probably Intervals, Chon, and Plini. I would recommend starting with The Shape of Colour album by Intervals.
@danielreeves41717 жыл бұрын
ive already checked out all of these bands haha i dont need help finding the most obvious bands in this scene. i was looking for rick to come up with his own music, not listen to other bands. thanks.
@danielreeves41717 жыл бұрын
also because i havent even listened to this for a year, those bands actually sound nothing like this xD this is very virtoustic as most of ricks playing is. just because music can have similar tones doesnt mean the artists music will be the same.
@ohaidere127 жыл бұрын
Well of course Rick would probably make some very different music from Plini, but nonetheless Plini makes some really interesting stuff, and in my opinion has a similar level of skill.

I think when talking about shredding and feeling a lot of it has to do with phrasing and finding the right places to put those lightning fast runs in. Bends slides and legato technique help a lot too. This video is a great example of all of this combined together

Ha, I am working on it and it isn't easy. I take on these kinds of pieces for mainly two reasons. 1st, is to gain technique become a better guitar player, 2nd is to see if RG is a mortal. If Rick is in fact mortal, I stand a chance. 🙂🙃😉
