Hi, thanks for a nice info. I do agree with you. Those are really logical things to do and I always have done them. My question is: do I need to replace anything in my BMW 116i sport 2.0L 2009 (95000km) after a remap stage one? and how to find a good specialist to do a remap, what are normal prices for stage one remap?? Funny you say this. First things after buying my BMW I replaiced spark plugs and ignition coils, huge improvement. I can't believe that most people don't care about such basic things like that. Plus, people buy the cheapest fuel possible and then they complain about perfomance LOL. Anyway, I still have some occassional (rare) misfires (especially on low revs), would you be able to say what can be the cause? I am going to replace a battery tomorrow, as it has never been changed since new, plus full service at BMW. Have been reading about fuel injectors too, but this may be a bit too far thinking, as these are very expensive. What are you thoughts?

Can't say, maybe your chain is a bit stretched? That can cause the timing going bad. And for a good remap you should ask people frol around you who they reccomend

I’ve noticed one difference with the engine put in the 118i is the oil cooler attached to the oil filter housing. Is this a part you would recommend installing before tuning? I live in a tropical country and unfortunately there are no dynos here. Which tune would be considered safe?

Zeker je bobines vervangen voor die gemapped word. En roadmap is prima. Zolang hij maar goed gemapped is. Een dyno dient vooral als meetinstrument om verschil te meten

For the exhaust, I can recommand you a steel exhaust, it makes more noises than other types of exhausts because of the steel, but the pop and bangs is a bad idea for a car like that because it creates premature wear to the mechanical parts of the car, it just destroy the parts because of the bangs in the mechanic. If you donwt want to have problems and have to buy new pieces I don't recommand you to do it

E10 for example is 10% ethanol. On a fuel tank of 50L it means you have 45L Petrol and 5L ethanol. E30 for example is 35L fuel and 15L ethanol

It's low mileage and never had issues, I will get it serviced by full serviced bmw soon and then will try to stage 1+ proffesionally , what do you think the max bhp I should aim for? It's automatic.

Yeah man it's very easy and the maps are good. Just get the adapter and you can flash it back to stock in 2 min

I have a question... do you have the same problem when the engine is cold...like in the morning and in the summer its already hot the car make weird sounds in the beginning like a rattle or smth but when its "cold" like 10c it doesnt make the sound....that rly strange...dunno what it is i already buy that volkswagen wastegate thing .....so it must be maybe the heating metal around the downpipe or the connection pipe downpipe to exhaust...... do you maybe know it?

No,do you? Engines that are tuned and driven hard, benefit from regular oil changes. Sure if my car was stock and my granny drove it, it would be fine with an oil change every 20 000km. But mine is running more than twice it’s power and gets redlined daily. Sure you can may stretch it to 15 000km. But i do oil changes myself and it costs me €60. Why even bother not doing it🤷🏻‍♂️
