I know that this is a bit late to say considering the date this was posted but I figured I would at least enlighten people with this information. I have not played genshin impact in a while but when I went to start up the launcher it didn't proceed saying there was some sort of error so I thought I should just reinstall the game and maybe that will fix it but when I went through the process of uninstalling the current version there was the regular pop up to confirm the selection like usual but what I found a bit concerning was the icon it displayed was that of a computer with a silhouette of a horse which I suspect is a icon for some trojan software. I knew that it was highly unlikely but I think I would share this experience with others just in case.

i'm not scared playing it on Android/IOS. But i'm scared playing it on PC, cuz PC often get viruses and i heard that anti cheat-kernel-system-whatever that is making my PC exposed, so it can easily get malware

@@vladimirlemon8345 well, a simple google search would have shown this. But. Company is chinese, (called Mihoyo) which means it's subject to the CCP in one level or another. That being adhering to censorship rules or giving them information and so on. I don't have confirmation that something like happened, but it's enough to be concerned and take some safety measures whenever possible.

I uninstalled this game as it was too addicted Impacted my real life I play on iPad and the from day i installed this game some issues started to happen with my wifi first I thought it was normal but last Month I noticed whenever I updated this game my wifi starts to Problem and the limits crossed when I ever opened this game the Wi-Fi started to turnoff automatically idk if these thing can be interconnected or are possible but I got really frustrated and uninstalled this game and from that day my wifi is working smooth it’s just I think I actually don’t know much about it

It is, but there is a co-op function that allows you to play with other players. The game is designed to be single player though

I played the game à lot, one night, the game start to do wierd stuff... my caracters start running and attack without I touch the mouse. I alt F4 the game and the curseur start to open stuff and other things without I touch still the mouse. I dont understand why its happen because I played it a lot.

Of course they can and they probably do. Information and data (about the west) is valuable and every single Chinese company has to hand in their collected data to the government when they but ask. It's very stupid to download Genshin Impact, Tiktok or anything else really from China and it's even more stupid if you buy something with your credit card since you willingly give them access to all of your data. Edit: and I would go so far to say: owning a Chinese phone is the stupidest thing you can do.

The game itself is likely double functioning as a Rootkit with network spyware and a full blown video game. It's not going to hurt you most likely, but they can potentially see ANYTHING you do.

As far as Im aware yes. Sony has an eye on the games/updates and (correct me if I'm wrong) ps4/5 games use an anti cheat thats built into the console, you can't just install some service that runs at kernel level.
