0:18 he drove all the way forward to clear the gate, but backed up right as it finished lowering 6:22 the loader showered itself with dirt! 7:13 KCS 4006 in Ohio 8:20 NS Pier 6 coal hopper 9:32 a case of turning right exactly when the GPS tells you to do so. They try to clear the road, but not backing onto the crossing to get off the tracks 10:30 a fire truck speeding past the lowering gates in front of Phase III unit 707. It's not until after the Amtrak passes do they start to back the car off the tracks 13:12 one train slows down to let the other BNSF train take over at Rochelle 15:10 fixing a bad spot of the rail in La Plata

Great Grab Bag! Loved the fox and deer in La Grange. The clear highway in front of the Kingsley Inn was remarkable. The persistence of imbeciles driving onto the tracks is truly astonishing with no end in sight. I'm sure we are witnessing just the 'tip of the iceberg'. The track repair was quite remarkable.

Not surprised at the Pulaski boing. Stop sign is past the gate and traffic on Route 13 can be very heavy. He would have better off staying put though. No danger of the train hitting him where he was at. I'm familiar with that crossing. Can't explain away the Fairport crossing, another familiar one. Why they keep turning onto the tracks there is a mystery to me. Maybe an idiot magnet on the tracks? Love the shorter grab bags of late.

It would help having a good set of binoculars for the crew in the lead locomotive to spot vehicles on the tracks from further away in the day time and if there is not a bend in the track right before the road crossing. Maybe even at night if there is enough lighting to spot a vehicle on the tracks.

My grandparents actually live near deshler in a little town called Custar, it does have a track but just one, and a train only goes through Custar every 2 to 6 days, so it's not the best place to railfan, but Custar is also pretty close to Fostoria, which is the best place to railfan that I've been to. There is littrerally a train right after the one before
