I knew exactly what I was getting into when I got my refreshed M3 LR. In March and everything I thought was correct. I live in a condo and we won't have chargers for several years and my work should have them by end of this year into next. I only work 3 days a week and I only supercharge once a week and in the early morning when it is cheaper. Supercharging doesn't affect me and I can do things while I'm charging. I live in Phoenix and right now it's .21 / kWh to charge and the other day it cost me 14.07 so far and for the month it will be around 54 dollars which is still cheaper than my Corolla which was around 65-70 a month. So if you plan it out it is perfectly doable. I charge up to 85 percent. I also love my car it is quiet, no squeaks, rattles or creaks. It is comfortable , it is ridiculously fast I raced a crotch rocket at a light and it wasn't even a race. He was a great sport he said man your car is fast I said I know and it's not even the performance😂😂. I love the tech and minimalism they are fantastic. The OTAs are awesome. I love having no stalks, shifting out of park automatically works 99 percent of the time and taking off seatbelt puts you into park these two things make driving the car so much enjoyable. I love the ventilated seats, ambient lighting is great. What car can you literally next day have a new feature like walking up to the trunk and it automatically opens after a few seconds all with software not new hardware Tesla you can. It's a game changer my mind is blown. I will only stick with Tesla. Phoenix AZ

Great looking ride! Have a 23 MYP here. I agree with everything you said about owning a V8 and enjoying the sound but at the same time enjoying the lack of sound from an EV and not having to worry about revving the engine too high before the engine warms up, stopping at gas stations, etc. 👍🏾

I wouldn't want to own an EV if I couldn't charge at home, and or, I reliably drove 300+ miles a day. Personal choice. Luckily I do neither of those

I wish every so called petrolhead car guy would be willing to watch this&give an ev a fair shake so to speak. For daily drivers and smooth fast cruising they cannot be beat imo&from a tco perspective? They also win. Oh and fun fact they promote domestic energy security as every $1 spent on charging an ev has over .70c stay in the U.S. and every $1 spent on gas or diesel has over .60c go to other countries some who actively hate the U.S. Also no oil changes, spark plugs air filters, 02 sensors, belts hoses thermostats, emissions testing etc With an ev! And the U.S. requires a minimum of an 8yr 100,000 mile main battery warranty to. Some states are 10yrs&120k with Congress actively trying to get all ev manufactures to cover the pack's for that 10yr 120,000 mile time period after 2025. 👍🏻😎

You ARE a real car guy, but most teslas are great cars, for people who don't rrrreally like cars. I've owned 4 teslas, and still love ev's for care free dailies, but I finally accepted that nothing will replace the character and personality of the sound of a gas motor - I'm 99% sure you would/could not own your model 3 performance as your only fun car. Maybe I missed it in your video, but this is a huge missing caveat.

Excellent content in this video (and many of your past videos too). You do a solid job being factual and yet realistic. An EV was not even on my radar … until I watched the KZbin video by the former car editor who raved about the new Tesla M3P and declared it rendered the BMW M3 (the former standard bearer for sports car excellence) “irrelevant.” That video got my serious attention. Nevertheless, my son-in-law thinks I’ve lost my mind and that I’ve joined Team Shitlib. I keep trying to explain it’s all about performance, reliability, efficiency, fun, etc. Maybe when mine arrives in August, it’ll help once he drives it. Until then, there’s no adequate explanation. :)
