Honest Tone, leave them raspberries, and you’ll be shocked next spring. I put in 30 canes winter before last, last year about half the bed looked like it had not fired, and half came up last year. This year, the new growth came through and the whole bed is rammed edge to edge (autumn fruiters too).

Garden is looking better by the day Tony lad, awesome.. And absolutely, you'll still get plenty of ripe tomatoes from the plant sown now. With the raspberries, I wouldn't bother buying more.. They'll be coming out of your ears next Spring 😁.. Take care mate, enjoying the more frequent vids, atb, Mark

I wouldn't grow the corn in between the potato tubs, not for the potatoes but for the corn. Corn does better planted closer together. I'd pop in some basil or bush beans or even kale. Another fun video, Tony! Loved your comment about plastic plants in April - so funny!

Tony why not get some dried grass clippings or leaves to top off those potatoes to keep the moisture in once your done topping them off. I threw all my clippings on top and the soil is staying nice and moist.

Hi Tony, just a suggestion... I think it is better to put your potato tubs close to each other, so that you can get a clearer space at the side for your corns, instead of putting them in between tubs.... Cheers!..

Can’t see a rip tomato if I’m honest Tony but it’s always worth a good experiment to find out. All the fruits taken really well, I remember planting gooseberry’s and raspberries and nothing took that well but this year it’s all looking a lot healthier and happy and my two new additions my pears one fan trained the espalier have both blossomed well and put on some really healthy growth. Looking forward to the competition reveal tomorrow. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!

I hope you get some tomatoes from your seedlings because I want some from mine! My season is at least 4 weeks behind you and my tomato seedlings are still at the first two leaf stage! However with longer 'sun days' than you, I am hoping they will catch up. On Mid summer eve we get sun until 10 or 11 at night, and we are still sitting out late in to the evening!.

Hi, it depends on the weather and it is early or main crop. In Russia people sew tomatoes in April to grow them out side and it is fine. You should make sure they are a blight resistant variety because that is your enemy not the time. Any way good luck. I actually did the same thing myself a couple days ago put in a few Maskotkas so let see. :)

Do you know if all the raspberries along the wall were the same variety? If no, give it it a bit longer just to ensure no late growth. If yes, then I’d be inclined to shift your white raspberries in to your gaps to keep the raspberries together, especially at the trampled end. Gives you your bucket back for something else. Hope you’re planting plenty pollinator flowers for those bees. 😁

My opinion yes sow tomatoes just do what you normally do... Trim leaves once fruited etc maybe top it early so ot doesnt grow to high to use extra strength to concentrate on fruit..... On raspberrys are they all earl season?? As others perhaps may be autumn fruit but either way would leave in til nxt spring them alter if still not shown life all the best

yes tony you can get a ripe tomato its all in the pruning and feeding N-P-K shoots roots and fruits + trace elements i don't know why fertiliser isn't marked up P-N-K i usually pinch to top out after 5 trusses with Shirley and pinch out all the suckers if you are worried pinch the tops out sooner

Dont know if they the correct varieties but I planted my apple and pear tree tilted ,cut off any upward shoots and the end,so hopefully branches grow down,I'm hoping they grow like a hedge, seen a man on utube do it,I'm no gardener but it doesn't hurt to try especially if you have a small garden and dont want trees growing up and causing shade, what will be will be only paid a fiver for each tree from local hardware shop so not lost a fortune if it fails, has anyone else planted like this, what was your success.
