Is It Worth Doing a CELTA or TEFL in 2024? (Maybe not…)

Thank you for this video! I have been thinking of taking the CELTA course, and I am doubting a lot! I always had a passion for learning languages, I have a Bachelor's in English and Chinese Linguistics, I am 27, I have been on maternity leave for a long time because of circumstances, I am from Ukraine, but moved to Germany, and all of these factors influence a lot. Now I am trying to understand is a career of an ESL teacher for me or should I learn and transfer to another field. So, thank you again for sharing the experience.

@FergusFadden I took the TEFL before moving abroad just in case, and though I don't regret taking it, it has had little impact on finding teaching opportunities and hasn't changed my earning potential.
