Love your channel and videos, I have the exact same ski bought brand new in 2023. I'm from Chicago and ride in fresh water. Have 15 hours on it and it has a JP catch can and Riva scom. I don't think you mentioned how many hours the ski in the video had on it. I was really wanting to know that. Lots of respect from Chicago and keep those videos coming!!!!! Thanks

Great video Calas, I always enjoy them. I used to laugh at the old men that use a boarding ladder until I got my first 21+ RXP. I immediately recognized that deep water boarding would be impossible with the single seat in place. I went to the dealer the next day and bought a ladder. Regarding the battery, most including AGMs are junk that will last 2 years max unless you want to get stranded. I recommend the Odyssey 20L in these units. It has a service life of 10 years and has a threaded insert and no nut to lose.

Useful tips for someone who is not mechanically inclined. Just changed my battery two days ago. Found out the hard way, dropped the bolts and the band was impossible to put back on. Keep up the advice and looking forward to the next video.

Ernesto! I feel like this video was made JUST FOR ME! I have a 2021 RXTX that I originally was going to replace with a 2024 RXPX but then decided to keep it in the end! I think taking care of your stuff like you're gonna keep it forever is the best plan! I've rode in California and Florida, theres something about Florida that takes a toll on skis much faster and harder than California (both on salt water). I look under the deck about once a month and always clean up and lightly coat it with fluid film. Its worked so far and I don't have much corrosion of paint flaking off. Just rinse and clean baby thats it, just take care of your ski and it will take care of you!. Also that DIY intake girdle had me winching! I don't think I could ever!

I had a 2020 TX 300 with 240 hours on it and it never had a single issue but sold it in 2024 for $11,500 and bought a new TX 325 for I think about 22k. Honestly it was not worth it. The 325 definitely hits harder mid range but if your like me and love to just cruise and enjoy the water the 325 was 100% over hyped. Keep your current unit and take care of you stuff!

Exactly what I was thinking. It all depends on how you take care or your jetski. Some people just don't know how, or are just lazy. Specially people that ride saltwater and don't do the proper maintenance after a ride.

I love my 325 rxpx. But i bought it used for a really good price. Id say keep riding the 300 and wait a few years for the 2024 325s to be more available in a fairly used conditions.

I bought a 2021 GTX 170 a few months ago and have been pouring over all the information I can get my hands on. I've come to this conclusion, if you ride a ski in salt water, you need to either be mechanically inclined and don't mind doing the upkeep or have the money to pay someone to do it. If you don't take one of these paths, you will find yourself with a broken ski. I personally love working on and maintaining mine so it's not an issue for me. These things are like a marriage, you can't ignore the issues for long and plan to have a good time 😂

I disconnect my battery after every ride to keep the lead plates from degrading due to current draw from the CPU. Just changed my 2016 battery last year and it was still good just preventive maintenance.

It it depends on what kind of jetski owner you are. If you wanna save money id say to stick with the 2022 RXT-X. The new 325s are awesome, but if you are the type of person that doesn't do the proper maintenance on Jetski, then your new seadoo will last you just as long as that used one.

Im in the same predicament. The cost to make power on a 300 doesnt seem worth it anymore. Especially when you can delete a 24 and reach 80. You pay 2k more from the dealer though. So its a weird place to be really.

I ride a turbocharged 05 RXP. I have 2 S3 hulls including a 16 TX 300, but I'm not a fan of how large and boat feeling the newer skis are and keep going back to my 05 which feels large to me compared to the 2 strokes I used to race. Frankly the new skis aren't fast enough for the price for me to ride them. 90MPH for like $7K vs 75ish for 20K, easy decision for me.

If he is content with losing 10k on two years' worth of use, then I suppose purchasing a new ski would be an option. Personally, I believe in taking good care of one's equipment, performing regular maintenance, and deriving enjoyment from using it while saving money.

Always have super great information in all your videos! Question just purchased a 2023 APEX 300 RXPX Riva Stage 1 Already as its hitting 75MPH with 35 Hours with an Aftermarket company Extended Warranty but It was pretty pricey and I am now thinking about cancelling the Extended Warranty while I still can, In your professional opinion is an extended Warranty recommended for this 2023 Model? I am located in Central Florida and ride often but mainly just Lakes/Freshwater and plan on keeping it Stage 1 as it is.

I have a 2017 RXP300 set up for closed course racing with a fully built motor and just about everything you can put on it. I love the ski and it is super fast and will turn on a dime however, I’m not gonna lie, you can buy a brand new RXP and do a few mods and be just as or if not faster than my ski that I have close to 40k in mods. I will never sell this ski as it fits my style, but I can’t deny the convenience and performance you can achieve with the new model. In regards to reliability and breakdowns, all will have there problems and require maintenance, you also get what you give in that regards to the maintenance, spending extra money to be in the same spot in a few years is a waste, put your money into building back your ski with better parts, also you’ll have something different instead of being like everyone else. Kinda like a 68 Camaro at a car show, everyone likes the new stuff until that old school muscle with big ole blower sticking out of the hood rolls through. But in the end to each there own.

If you are not trying to go a lot faster then no reason to go for 325. 325 sounds like it is much easier to go faster. Also the RXT series is due for a hull redo in next few years so another reason to wait. Just look at great RXP upgraded hull in 2021.
