Is it Worth Live Streaming in 4K ?!

In our church we have an HD workflow but we stream in 4K due to the higher bitrate that KZbin reserves for 4K streams. We use the Blackmagic Webpresenter 4K to upscale and stream.

Great video as usual! A few additions: - Streaming to KZbin in 1440p or 2160p always triggers the VP09 codec, which looks much better than AVC1. However, VP09 is also enabled for 1080p streaming on some KZbin channels (haven't found out what it depends on - but noticed it on channels that stream regularly). That's why we often upscale a 1080p feed and stream it at 1440p or 2160p. Ryan Somerfield made a video about this and has some teststreams available. ("Lets Compare Livestream Resolutions for KZbin Livestreams") - Having 4 HD feeds in a 4k image is not only useful for recording, but also for cloud/remote production, as it is a fairly cost-effective solution to send 4 feeds in frame sync to a remote location. It can be split in software or with a Teranex 12G-SDI to Quad SDI.
