Honestly, if you want to get away from the pay to win aspects in this game playing low cost games under 400 will be some of the most fun you’ll have in your life. It’s an untouched area that I’m pretty sure is the way the game played on launch. There’s no bullshit heavy attacks, the maps are always big letting you play support and generals can actually fight back against raids.

Short Answer: Yes Long Answer: Yes as long you know what you are doing on well informed decisions (like how Main banner has higher rates while multisteps dont have higher rates but garentees it after a few steps) as a free/budget player. No if you expect to improve massively in a short period.

Little late, but the game is quite good. The biggest gripe is definitely that steam port disaster. I don't think the reviews will ever bounce back, unless they pull a cyberpunk 2077 and fix almost everything.

I prefer to play SDGO than this. It tries to be realistic, but the dash and jump boost throw me off. SDGO is way intuitive when it comes to using your jump boost. I was soo looking forward to playing this.

Thanks for the comment. But honestly I wouldn't even compare the 2. GBO2 is in the lineage of GBO and the prior BB developed Gundam games. SDGO is a different play style. The only thing they share in common is Gundam and PvP.

I just want to understand something or maybe I’m playing it wrong. How do people put out so much dos and still tank my hits? I mean I choose mods to have more dos but then give up a bit of beam or melee resistance. You pick def mods you give up dos mods. I know you can buy the weapons to but it still doesn’t feel like I’m doing much. The hanger aspect I knew to me but ain’t no way it puts up a big difference to the flight. No. It is fluid because you can chain hits together by memorizing attack animations (souls-like) and boosting/switching weapons to reset the animations. It's fluid af. It's hard for newer people and that was the case for me, but I learned to understand it.

Now, I love the Souls games.... but please stop attributing good deliberate animation based combat to them. A good f2p gundam game, so was gundam evolution (till they killed it for no reason). As much as i love the gundam games i lowkey wish fromsoft would be given a green light to make a gundam game because i always find myself going back to ac6 because it feels just so good to play. My biggest reason for losing interest in gbo2 is the lack of people to play with, playing with randoms got old rather fast because it mostly ended up being a melee fest or teammates doing jack all to help

It's better to play on Playstation because I doubt that version which is running for 5 years now will go away unless they release GBO3. The PC will likely shutdown but I doubt it since it was able to retain the playerbase atleast. If you want to experience GBO2 go get a PS5 or PS4 Slim/Pro. That's the definitive way to play the game then just wait for the GBO3.

Downloaded on PS5 last night, not sure if there’s cross play, but it took me an hour to figure out the matchmaking is horrid. Kept failing or joining lobbies with 2/10 people. Luckily there was 1 custom server full of players, but it was the same rocket launch map over and over again with guys in 3k suits

@@GundamExplained Its not as if the shoes are stiff, its more like there's a 75% chance when you put them on they slip off the instant you try to take a step, then the makers come to your house and take them away for a few hours to 'fix them' give them back and then the same problem persists, so they do that again- and again- and again (I think we are on about the 5th 'taken down for maint. atm) and the problem is still here. Its a joke, its a 5~ year old game thats a simple port thats been getting beta reports for the last 1~2 years about these problems, its ridiculous.

you need months to upgrade your suits and new players wont even know how that even makes them better there too many suits a lot of them sucked for me felt like waste of time to try them just to see most of them got the same weapons all that changes is if they do damage or not melee suits are op in this game they get close you dead and ping matters big time i had 3/5 ping and it was not bad but cant say it was ok to find a map you need to try all modes to find the one mode most of the player base plays YEA most ppl go and join 1 mode only so gl trying all of them just to find that 1 that got ppl not a bad game but new player vs veteran players that got fully upgraded suits + know all there to know about the game +they got better ping than you on top of that? i pass on that nightmare

I love gundam, but it is not beginner friendly as if you like going solo, you'll die. Grt ready for stun lock hell by one machine gun hit at level 1 zaku at 400 cost. Seriously though this game is literally all beam canon stun lock and run when that thing goes out. Also if you have a favorite gundam you wanna play, forget about it as it'd probably 700 cost and only for space and quick matches and rank usually only do 600 or 400, and cost is weird even when it saids 700 you can't do 400 cost. Even custom matches do 700. Honestly it would be better to just make them all heroes with abilities and guns balanced to pay for instead of this cost system. Like yeah there's alot of mobile suits to choose from but it shouldn't be this cost program that affects everyone and it judt hurts beginner players as these guys with level 4 defense and items jump in and barely effected by stun block cuz of rpg mechanics.

I actually love this game despite the servers being a problem. The biggest issue is the infinite combo glitch. There's a gundam with a level 3 combo ability and the second hit will always cause a stagger but not knock them down. So you do the first two hits then wait then do the first two hits and repeat. This will never end until they die. It's a problem

I quit this damn thing. I'm the only person ever targeted in these matches, ever. Every enemy targets me, nobody else. Idk why. Maybe because THERE ARE NO OTHER PLAYERS. THEY'RE ALL JUST AI BOTS. ITS SO FUCKING OBVIOUS. The matches take five hours long to find too. Its a dogshit game, don't play it. Only good thing is the variety of suits.
