As a rule, I don't like Murphy beds in RVs because they're almost always in the driver's side slide-out near the front of the vehicle. But this one is exceptional, and in that perfect North / South configuration. As such, it really gives you the option of leaving it down 24/7 or folding it up so you can use the couch. With side mounted Murphy beds, you pretty much have to store them away during the day if you want full use of the cabin, and getting to the bathroom is also difficult for anyone sleeping on the opposite side because there's usually no room to walk around when the bed is deployed.

Winnebago has this option on several floorpans and we find it to be a very nice compromise to a walk around bed and more living area!

went to look at this trailer with the couch in it. it was wonderful but when we pulled out the couch it touched the kitchen counter so you couldn't get to the bathroom.

The couch certainly has some trade offs. The sleeping experience on the couch is more comfortable than the dinette, but you do lose that walking space when the couch is pulled out. Thanks for sharing!

Why would they use 12v fridge instead of propane/12v/120. Just burns through the battery off grid but then they don't use a 12v TV?

It is definitely a growing trend in the industry. Quicker and better cooling but uses more battery power than a traditional RV fridge. I've heard arguments both ways and understand each side.

So... what is really your question about, the Fridge or the TV? Not sure why you are asking the question. So let me see if I can do a better job than the BS Miller's gave you. Regarding the fridge, making it 12 volt eliminates those nasty fins inside the fridge giving you a LOT more room. This RV is certainly *NOT* designed to be a full-time boondocking/off-grid set up, if it was, it would have solar not *OPTIONAL* solar. That being said, after looking on the Winne website it looks like the fridge is "optional" as well, meaning that it doesn't come standard. So I wonder which fridge does comes standard... Because this is *NOT* set up for boondocking the TV is going to *ONLY* run on "shore-power". Hope this helps. The MSRP for this particular RV is *$48,000* not including the *options* this youngster showed us. So to answer the question on the the thumbnail pic, *NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT* It is "Not Worth the Hype"! Go buy a Grand Design because they *ARE WORTH THE HYPE.*

Depends on year and how equipped but definitely possible with some - tow capacity ranges from 3,500 to 6,800 lbs on recent Tacomas. Most of the 2108's weigh around 4,000 lbs.

That’s a Stupid Murphy bed. You still have to crawl out the bottom of the bed as they have the side boxes. The whole idea of a North / south bed is to be able to get out the sides. Also not a bad review but I wanted to see the size of cupboard above the sink.

Understand your thoughts about the side boxes. There is a balance between having the outside pass through storage (what's under the box) and ability to walk the full length of the bed. I try to remember that colors in an RV are like colors in a nice resort. They often would be things I wouldn't choose for my house but I don't mind when I'm on vacation. It helps me, hopefully it will give you a different perspective too!
