I bought this projector on a black Friday deal for just 1599.00 us dollars and very satisfied with the picture quality , colors and contrast. I using on a Elite Screen WhiteMax 1.2 gain 135 inches and the picture is stunning , even with some controlled ambient light . I connected on my AVR receiver so is not a problem or issue for me to only have 1 hdmi IN input in the projector, also I using a Amazon Fire TV Cube third generation for view my favorite app streaming. The 3D is out of this world , I just download a few you tube sample and oh my gush , I saw a sneak that was in front of my face, bought a pair a 3D glasses on AMAZON way more cheaper than Xgimi own brand recommend and working without any issues

@@Bearsgamepodcast this kind of projector is life style category , specially design to use in a living room , in a table or in his own stand , it can be also mount ceiling , I can tell you something I also have a Sony Bravia 4k 85 inches dolby vision TV locate behind my 135 inches manual pulldown screen and the color , bright and contrast of this projector overpass my TV

That's what I thought, until I watched Red One last night. Could hardly see half the screen due to terrible black levels. Tested different settings. Im thinking about taking it back if their support can't give me options. I'm curious if you can try that movie out and report back.

Horizon Pro will always be the best value for me. Its bright enough and high enough quality for anyone not looking to drop 2 bands.

I have this in bedroom and a epson in living room. TBH if you are willing to fork out 5k an epson is gonna be better than this. However for the price nothing is beatable to match this.

@ so the Max does have more Lumens which might give you a slightly brighter picture but what the Max doesn’t have is optical zoom. The optical zoom is really important because it will likely enhance the crispness of edges and details. So you’re trading a little bit of brightness for a lot more sharpness. I also just personally don’t like the stand that the S Max comes with. I wouldn’t want it to break.

Yes, I've seen a few people do it and I am actually planning on doing it myself soon as well. I currently have a projector ceiling mount from my old projector, however I will be swapping part of this one on here so it can accept the screw mount: amzn.to/4fXgSkP I test fitted it and shook it around and it seems solid. The mounting hole is at the bottom of the base.

How is the delay on it for gaming? Also, does It support higher refresh rates at any resolution? I have an older projector but the delay sucks at around 55ms. A tv would probably be the best bet, but I really don't want to downgrade to a smaller screen now that I've gotten used of the 120" I have. Seems like bright projectors like these might be the perfect middle ground
