You do realize people watched the game and saw JM throw the ball 3 feet behind Henderson who was WIDE open crossing middle of the field. Young’s reception would have gone for 1 yard.

No disrespect to Milroe, but people gotta stop bringing up 5th or 6th in Heisman voting because the Heisman voters are some of the laziest and uneducated folks out there Heck, the voters primarily vote for their region. Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio St are programs where you can win 10 plus games (in the regular season) with average QB play. I believe Milroe has earned the right to start the season as QB1, I don't get too high or too low about a QB in the spring. The QB is rockin a black jeraey, and defenses are vanilla. Milroe's issues were processing and sensing pressure. We won't know if he turned the corner until the regular season. Now he was unlucky with dropped passes. I'm fascinated to see how this plays out.

I like Ty Simpson’s accuracy. I like the fact that he is actually a dual threat quarterback and can run. He may not be as fast as Milroe, but he’s really elusive. I like the fact that he was raised by a college football coach. I have concerns that he might be a little bit of a baby (aka Mac jones) and I definitely think he needs more game experience to settle in. But I think he gives Alabama the best chance with the weapons in the backfield to win a championship just based on his accuracy. He can throw the ball as far as Jalen, but his intermediary passes are just so much more precise and quick.

Several of those passes that everyone is saying is WRs fault would have only been a spectacular catch from WR it was not a great pass. There was only one or two that were on the WR.

Milroe has a great deep ball thats not been his issue. Its the short to intermediate routes he struggles with. He also holds the ball too long at times, others he doesnt go through his reads and takes off early before he has to. He's not a bad QB but he's got guys nipping at his heels he better get it together and he ain't there yet

It's spring. This is the time to learn and develop and fix things. If your offense doesn't seem to struggle it's almost always a bad sign. Errors are teaching opportunities. Everyone on the offense is learning to play together and develop chemistry. If this was fall camp you can be worried

Milroe will be a dynamic QB as long as he embraces using his running talents as well as improving his passes. Milroe tends to not want to scramble or run when he should run on a particular play. He seems like he trying to prove that he’s a pocket passer at the expense of not scrambling on a play to get the first down. He will be the first pick in the draft and a heisman winner once he decides to use his legs as much as his arms.

I'm not saying Jalen Milroe shouldn't start but my problem is people like you Stephen making excuses for Milroe's performance. It's almost like it's personal with you. I don't think ur objective at all & feel like u may be too close to the situation to see the truth. This is a new regime & they will evaluate & play the players that give them the best chance to win period! Whether it's Milroe or Simpson but in case u haven't noticed Simpson is a more polished qb and always will be. They both bring different packages. Milroe's an elite athlete who plays instinctive & Simpson is a athletic qb who has good arm strength & is accurate & will manage the offense. Everybody understands it was just a scrimmage wasn't necessary to make a video of u excusing or explaining what we saw. What u think or what I think doesn't matter. I don't pretend to know which QB will end up being the starter. I do know that as of right now it's Milroe's job to lose and that any QB that can run is handicapped in a spring game in a non-contact jersey. I remember after Blake Simms' spring game everybody was in a panic and I told them Simms' would be fine because most of those "sacks" would have actually been QB scrambles for 1st downs.

This “Who Cares” attitude that he’s not Bryce Young or Joe Montana is not what Coach DeBoer is looking for. Coach DeBoer wants his QB to be smart and run his offense with precision. Milroe not picking up the blitz and leaving Wide Receivers wide open will set Milroe on the bench. So let DeBoer pick his QB and not the Milroe fan club.

He threw for 116 yards in the playoff game. He’s more of a Lamar Jackson, who coincidentally has never led a team to a championship. If Jalen starts every game this year, I hope he hands off the ball 90% of the time.

Irrelevant video. He is good. That is not debatable. He is clearly the #1 QB now and in the fall and it’s not a particularly close competition. Ty is fine as a backup, still prefer Lonergan. But it’s moot point. It’s Milroe’s team all season, unless he gets hurt, in which case Bama will have a long year. I believe he stays healthy and Bama wins 10-11 games.

That's what makes him mediocre to me. Michigan took away the deep ball and made him throw the underneath stuff. That was one of the reasons we didn't win the game. Milroe is a great player and has made some improvements. The facts are that he isn’t qb1 for when the season comes. There is an open qb competition like CKD said. Someone has to take the qb 1 reps and that’s him bc he has earned it from last season.
