Speaking of the endgame, I genuinely think Gojo’s return is very imminent and in said return he will demonstrate that the six eyes is actually a crutch for JJK sorcerers (at least at the very elite level) and what truly matters in the end is soul perception and being one with yourself, not inherent abilities like the six eyes. This is very evident from Gege’s writing of the Shibuya arc. When Gojo was being sealed he looks at Kenjaku/Geto and states “my six eyes tell me you’re Suguru Geto. But my soul knows otherwise” now we know Gege is an extremely intentional writer and I believe this was the ultimate foreshadowing for what will transpire as this exchange definitively states that the soul is on a superior level to the six eyes. So if we assume that Gojo’s comeback will involve sacrificing or losing the six eyes (as all the foreshadowing seems to indicate) his return under these premises would allow him the opportunity to (1) truly ascend (and without the six eyes mind you) thus finally answering the question “are you the strongest bc you are saturo gojo or are you saturo gojo bc you are the strongest”. (2) teach his students the ultimate lesson on the importance of the soul - thus him transcending for real and fulfilling his character development (3) save his students from deviating and going on the path of loneliness and being the strongest bc of that pain aka the sukuna route, as we are seeing with Yuta right now. There is also a very poetic angle to Gojo having the ultimate magnifying glass (the six eyes) and still being “blind” and it was only after he lost everything that he could truly see. Huge fan of your content and would genuinely love to know what you think about this.

@@slatx1 Kenjaku and Sukuna know each other from the Heian Era, that’s been stated multiple times already. And it wouldn’t be out of character for Tengen and Kenjaku to be friends, Tengen was the one who went around teaching about enlightenment during the Heian Era so she was well known by many ppl. She stayed out of the fighting and all that but she’s always been a big part of jujutsu, her pure barriers are actually what allows other sorcerers and jujutsu managers to use barrier techniques at the level they do and they help suppress curse spirits. But yea, i’m just like you tho, so many more questions. Hopefully they do actually show a little more in the anime tho, i find it hard to believe that they’d reference Sukuna fighting the 5 generals and all the other clans and actually not show at least some clips of him going berserk on them in the Heian Era. The one i mainly have questions about is Uraume. I wanna know how he met Sukuna, and what made Sukuna actually pay attention to Uraume out of all the other sorcerers in his Era and even consider keeping them around as an assistant. Like yea i get Uraume’s CT is perfect for preserving bodies for Sukuna nd all but it’s not like he needs him for anything other than that, nd i honestly don’t see Sukuna caring THAT much about persevering anyways since he could eat at any point he wanted to.

My endgame theory goes like this: From where we’re at, Yuta will rough Sukuna up a bit but ultimately run out of time that his technique can work so he pulls a Nanami moment on Yuji, “You take it from here” type stuff, then Yuji, who usually gets mega depressed at times like that, absolutely loses it like he did against Mahito. He straight up boxes Sukuna for a while, hitting a huge amount of black flashes, then Sukuna puts him on his ass and activates the merger. He then consumes the merger to get a massive power up, and with Yuji, the last hope, seemingly on deaths door, all hope seems lost. Then Yuji pulls an “I am you” moment on Sukuna, we get a flash like the mahito fight but this time to a shrine looking environment. Sukuna acknowledges the change and gets confused. He tries to fight back and realizes what’s truly happened, Yuji used his domain expansion. Sukuna sweats bullets about what’s going to be the effect when he blinks and suddenly he’s back in the Heian era, sparing with Yuji in a familial way. It all seems nice and happy, and Sukuna smiles with joy, then it cuts back to the demonic shrine look and Yuji just menacingly walking towards Sukuna. Sukuna flips his lid, repeatedly blinking between a happy family with his brother and nephew and Yujis domain, when Yuji is right in front of him and hits him with a hug, declaring “The one who will teach you about love, is me”. Sukuna loses his mind, falls to his knees, and asks Yuji if it can truly occur. Yuji says “Let’s find out together, Uncle. Come with me, let’s move beyond this world” and enacts a binding vow slyly with Sukuna for them to die together in exchange for Megumi to live, being the sole survivor. Sukuna clips out of his body back into Yuji, merging their souls. As they begin to turn to dust, Megumi wakes up, realizes what’s going on, and attempts to curse Yuji into staying. Yuji just apologizes and says “This had to happen, for the better of the world. Live a long, happy life for me, Fushigoro” then finishes disintegrating. Hot take; what do yall think?

I actually have an idea for the key to beating Sukuna Gojo came up with: He would take on a series of binding vows that would let him envelop Sukuna’s domain entirely while giving him the edge in the domain clash but would leave him completely vulnerable without assistance. Key words being “without assistance.” While Sukuna is trying to attack Gojo and/or keep his domain up, someone(s) else can beat down Sukuna and prevent him from hurting Gojo before the domain clash ends, leaving Sukuna completely vulnerable and without anyone to assist him in his time of need.

@8:00 - The only hard timer we have involving how long its been since Yuta was cut is the 99 second timer on Sukuna's domain expansion when he nuked the city. All the fighting after Yuta was cut took up an unknown amount of time until the domain expansion gave us the 99 second time passage. So its been ATLEAST 1:39 and we just have to ponder on how much time to add to that for the fighting. Id say it probably hasn't been more than 10-20 minutes though. The anime will obviously give us a better sense of how much time is passing in this LOOONNNGGGG fight lol.

i'm not 100% sure sukuna's big reaction was at yuta taking gojo's body. I think it's intentional that yuta's left hand (and the ring) have been left out of the chapter thus far... Yuta may have either absorbed rika using kenjaku's ct or sacrificed her in a binding vow to hedge his bets against the 5 minute timer, and THAT is what sukuna was appalled and impressed yuta had that dawg in him to do.

@manganimist 1. If Yuji is the mirror to Mahito, then we should expect his partial transformation to be completed soon. This will grant him incredible defense/durability. 2. Yuji’s ability to touch the soul will give him the ability to create an innate domain expansion in others. This will be a masterpiece and the pinnacle of jujustu, retooling negative energy into positive energy, changing the properties of CE in its entirety, and the ability to reshape another person’s soul. this will defeat sukuna and free megumi. 3. Kenjaku placed part of his soul in Tengen and will become one with the merger.

Remember that shonen jump usually announces last arcs, jjk hasn't gotten any announcement that it's entering it's final arc, while MHA or Demon Slayer got theirs, so I suspect that gege is saving something devious, I think he still has one more arc in him, and that whatever happens after they defeat sukuna is going to be big, and it's going to be followed by the announcement that THIS will be the final arc

I believe its going to end on ch.270. I think this whole Yuta thing is just another distraction to catch Sukuna off guard more than he already is and end any hope he has of using any of his cursed techniques, which will allow Yuji to finally use his Domain Expansion to end him once and for all. Before he dies though we'll get a flashback learning more about why Sukuna is the way he is and then he'll utilize the merger. After that the remaining people alive will find a way to stop the monster thats summoned and save the world, but at the cost of their lives, then Megumi will be freed only to find hes the last one living. Just a theory of mine.

What's your thought on my Merger/JJK Ending summarised theory? I feel and hope the merger is like an Evangelion situation but JJK style. It happens, they fight but do indeed lose and are absorbed into it but, they do manage to damage it significantly somehow (some soul stuff). Here, everyone is one being and Yuji must no longer treat himself as a cog. All his accumulated experience leads him to realise his own self worth, his own place, his desire to live which separates him from the rest. This begins a process which "defeats" the merger from the inside in a very meta way. (Spoilers for Evangelion: like how in the end, everyone turns to soup and then, to put simply, separates due to independence blah blah). This would tie in all the soul stuff, solidify Yuji as MC, let us see the merger and so on, so forth.

I think the following: - Yuta/Gojo will provide the opportunity Yuji needs to end it - Yuta/Gojo corpse will die after 5mins or in the scuffle - Sukuna activates the merger as he's dying - Final arc = world vs merger

I have a theory. Do you remember when Reggie Star said Kenjaku lied about the Culling game? That all players should die? Because it's inefficient and that's not Kenjaku's style. So Reggie concluded for the merger to happen, the "strongest" should "remain". Therefore it's most likely that the strongest is the one who merges with Tengen and activates it. Right now, Yuta is the strongest. Since Sukuna is in rough shape. That may be it. Yuta (in Gojo's body) will merge with Tengen and then our MC, Yuji will defeat the merger. Besides, we still have one Arc left. The Final Arc may be named "The Merger".

15 chapters is way too short. Unless they fight the merger right after sukuna which will probably end in like 9 chapters

In my opinion, yuji will be the one surviving. His whole character is self sacraficial, he agreed pretty easily to be sukuna's vessel and then killed. If yuji is the only one of the main crew surviving that would be a dark twist i would expect from gege. The person who only desired to serve his role and then die is the one living

I don't think JJK is ending this year because there is still a lot of unpacked stuff : - The merger, obviously - Megumi needs either a comeback or a proper ending (and we need to see him use the 10s now) - Inumaki is still missing and It would be weird to end without getting to see more of him - Panda's third sister that has been teased during the kashimo fight in the culling games - COPIUM ALERT : Nobara IS coming back at some point (fight me) - Hakari and Uraume fight should propably take some screentime aswell - The politics of the jujutsu society has been reformed and we haven't got to see the changes yet (with the old man now in charge, and megumi as the leader of what's left of the zenin clan) - I wont accept an ending where the sumo guy is not the new MC There is propably more that I forgot. Anyway, It looks like there is clearly room for another entire arc after this one

If gege was sadistic enough, he could make Gojo the only one to live while Yuji died in his arms, yutas consciousness fading from his body and megumi getting killed alongside sukuna. kinda fucked up but at this point who knows?
