Warhorse sticking to their vision is not just great, I think it's imperative for this game. Giving too much credibility to the critics of some of the more "hardcore" mechanics and ways KCD did things would just likely dilute the experience. Sometimes the lack of comfortability and ease of use is just really important for immersion. I think Daniel Vavra is great in this aspect: he's stubborn and confident enough to stick to the vision, and he seems to be fairly good at distinguishing between baseless and warranted criticism.

I of course hope that the game launches in great condition with smooth performance for everyone and has minimal bugs, but even if it doesn't, it doesn't concern me, because those can be patched out over time. Warhorse is a lot bigger now than they were, and they're spending roughly six months on bug fixes and optimisation, so I'm feeling good about these points. Even then, if they don't get it right, they have a history of working hard and patching their game. KCD 1, while not perfect in terms of performance, is miles better than when it launched. Feeling really good about this one, I think I'll even risk pre-ordering it. Fingers crossed everyone loves it, and Warhorse get the recognition they deserve!

Have you tried running into thick bushes out in the wild? They absolutely feel like rocks and that’s with a motocross bike, never mind a horse
@morrisalanisette90674 ай бұрын
i dont mind you cant go thru them but there were many times i was stuck in a bunch of bushes.i was stuck in a world of bushes for like 10 mins one time. which is also stressful when you havent saved in awhile

@@morrisalanisette9067 I know, same thing happened quite a few times to me, it was really bad game design. I’ve actually never seen a game that had this problem, where you suddenly couldn’t move in areas of the world that looked like you could go. Very weird and broke immersion many times. Every other game is able to solve this, I don’t know why they couldn’t. It made me not enjoy the game very much.

@@pressrepeat2000 Nah it’s great game design and what I loved about early gameplay in KCD. If you haven’t saved, maybe don’t risk trying to go in those bushes near the bandits. You might die or you might get some loot. It felt dangerous, not like most stealth in games where you can stand next to them and they don’t see.

Nice coverage short and to the point.As much as I love Longswords, I really hope they added more combos to the Maces because bonking Knights in full plate armor was just so cathartic in the first game.

Would be nice to have some extra big funny Zweihänder. Those unfortunately didn't seem to quite yet exist in early 15th century...

@wombat4191 make an immersion breaking DLC that let's us use the FF7 buster sword or berserk guts dragon slayer

So glad you answered my question early in the video about the first game’s decisions carrying over to the second game what I’m worried about is the broken quests I legit got the game months ago and still encountered like 2 or 3 broken markers/locations/npc just not working

KCD was the best game i never managed to complete due to combat and save system. I really hope KCD2 has some sort of solution for people like me.

There are two simple solutions - practice and thoughtful approach, both to be deployed by you. The more you practice a particular skill the better you get and the easier it gets (your irl self will get used to the mechanics while the game character will increase its stats); as for the saving system, the potion saving is there to force you play reasonably as if it would be a real life. With unlimited saving players would just go straight for difficult/improbable outcomes, keep dying and reloading and as soon as they get lucky, they save the game again and do another difficult task in the same manner. With limited saves you to be strategic and consider what is worth the risk and what is not, making the game much better experience. But you have to accept the mechanics instead of fighting them.

The combat mechanics are simply horrible though. The game responds to your inputs so slowly. I want to fight the enemies, not the interface.

@@MrMichalMalek yeah, but in the early game this is a very conflicting design choice. Henry sucks at everything, the player doesn't understand the systems and the cost of failure is always high, (and the game is still kinda buggy which can make things worse) so you're disinsentivized from experimenting. In my first playthrough I ended up being just a meathead, because combat is the only thing you can practice without severe risk, and completely ignored systems like stealth or archery. In my other playthroughs I am much more versatile, but it's mainly due to strategic save planning and the willingness to waste time.

Happy it’s a “simple” sequel, I’m sure they’ll probably be some more ambitious DLC’s, or more unique I guess, to shake things up. So far it looks amazing!

I’m so glad I can keep Theresa as my love interest. So many games just throw traditional marriage/romance out the window and pretend previous engagements didn’t exist.

I always went with a ranger set up. Yew Hunting bow, Master Huntsman sword, black saxon gambeson, black aachen brigandine, kettle bell helm, black brigandine pauldrons, dark padded coif, dark shoes, hunter's gloves, lots of poisoned arrows. Definitely looking forward to trying my old set up and finding new ones to go for that stealth ranged assassin set up. Hoping we get perks for Bows, Crowssbows, and guns

If there isn't a party scene with Henry, Hans and Father Goodwin I don't want to play it.
@rosseesokol55595 ай бұрын
Not only that you will play as Godwin...CEO confirmed another playable character in base game. It was interview in czech so most youtubers do not noticed...in summer game fest trailer game was narrated from father Godwin, he is on advanture to find Henry and Hans.
