I think it's confirmed that the "nuke harran" ending is not cannon. In the beginning of dying light 2 you can find a news paper that talks about survivors in harran 5 years after the initial outbreak. The following only takes place a year after the first game (2016) so I think the cannon ending is crane turning into a volatile. Also this can be taken either way but in dying light 2 there is a room hanging from a crane that has photos of Kyle all over the walls and mixed into those photos are the night hunter and I bet the devs put those there on purpose!

so, I think that "wiped from the map" meant that harran had no hope. I think that crane did turn into a volatile, and wiped out the rest of harran, because if I recall, there was a part of harran that was safe and not infected, hence harran being "wiped from the map". but take this with a grain of salt, I'm kinda dumb

There could be 1 more option we know from dying light 2 that GRE was transporting the virus to waponized IT and then sell but what if they catched Crane and they were experimenting on him? We know that on 2 THV is stronger than the virus from Harran. Personalny i think when gam said Harran was wiped pit od map was locked down military was watching the area around it and tried to make sure the virus wont get out but like i said the military would watch it and GRE would pay them to don't report it

in the opening scene of dying light 2 it indeed says that harran was wiped from the map, BUT... we can clearly see that harran is still standing, buildings and silos are still standing so there definitely wasn't a nuclear blast. I think that the power in the city went out and volatiles wiped most of harran out. The liquidator is probably one of the only survivors.

@@literallyvenomsnake depends on what kind of nuke and the fact there is more than one in the DLC areas means they were probably meant to be used in unison, and a nuclear explosion will not set off another nuke because that isn't how nuclear weapons work.

One of those is enough to decimate Old Town, the Slums, Countryside and the rest of the uninfected city. Those nukes require two-three step verification and a set of codes, meaning they are pretty damn powerful.

I think by "wiped off the map" they mean Harran being an exclusion zone as to where nobody can enter without government authorization, thus leading to it completely removed from the map on earth. I think the "Crane drinking the vial" ending is the most accurate one which technically DOES connect to the events of the second game.

well there is a lead that The Mother said befor she chuged down the wille down one crane "maby you will understand when you see it whit my eyes" that does reinforce the hallucination theory where maby crane saw this and then he bomded the haran continent. if that is true then that explains why after crane killed the mother in the bad ending in the dlc, her voice kept going mens he then hallusinated or the mother speeced to him oute side from his hallusination saing the truth and showing the truth in hear eye to him "it is poison". and maby possibly manipulating him to bomb haran aftervards

There are two possible endings to The Following as we all know: the nuclear option, and the Crane/Night hunter option. There is a story techland is trying to tell here, and it wasn't really finished in DL1 or the Following. Bringing Crane back as a hybrid so he can help bring about a cure as the Mother was attempting to do is a great plot twist in this overarching story. No, we're not done with Crane. And "wiped" can be interpreted any number of ways. And just because someone refers to someone in the past tense, it doesn't means he's dead. He may be somewhere where you are not.

I don’t think the nuclear ending was cannon because there is a newspaper that you can get in dying light 2 from 2020 that states that there are still thousands of people trapped in Harran and that takes place way after the end of the following.

Ultimately it's up to the developers, they have the say so. I think that they have not offically crossed Kyle Crane character out of the story yet, but they have sort of left him in the past in a way. They in a way covered up his story and made Dying Light 2 not directly realated to him at all. In my opinion there are 3 outcome that all equally make sense. 1. Kyle Crane is dead. Crane activated the nuke and blew up the countryside etc. making him a "hero" (not really) and the Book of Kyle Crane is closed allowing Dying Light 2 to tell a new story (Aidan Caldwell....) Now we get into the more interesting theories that we all wish for. 2. Like I said in the beginning it's all up to the developers. They could easliy insert Crane back into the story with a perfect purpose and it still making sense. Crane turns via the following ending where he kills the mother but she forced the "liquid" down his throat. Crane stubbornly carrys on into the sewers still believing the vials are the cure. We have no clue how long or how far Crane travels in the sewers but he ultimately is in a new unquarentined part of "outer Harran" or a near by city. He turns into a sentient volatile and proceeds to destroy many many people in that area. Time goes on as Crane is a half human half infected(like Aidan) and he goes into hiding or just fits in with the other infected, who knows the game developers could make a good script explaining what kyle did after he turned. this theory bring the possibility of him being put into the the 2nd Game. Could be a mentor or enemy for Aidan- endless possiblities. Also the Liquidator tell Aidan that Kyle Crane is the reaon "all this happened" which could mean 2 things, he spread the virus or he didnt comply with the GRE who knows?? 3. The NightHunter theory- Now this theory has had it flaws in the the past and still sort of does but with the release of Dying Light 2, some new information has came out that supports this. (Other than the previous theories of the nighhunter looking like his old outfit, and the nighthunter hand and the nighthunter Scream at the end). Many people have though that the nighthunter was not Cannon until they came out with Dying Light 2 comics. included in these comics were nighthunters(exact same as from BE the Zombie mode). Kyle Crane could have easily been mutated into the Night hunter, the combonation of him being infected early in the main campaign, then him breathing the mist, and then him drinking the vial could mix into something nasty(the NightHunter) Also in Dying Light 2, there is a Kyle Crane memorial/shrine that has many pictures of him and theres a picture of the Nighthunter. Now why would they do this, are they trolling us?? Who Knows!? its up to them like I said, I dont think the have a complete say so on what truely happened to Kyle Crane. This theory coyld be awesome because Crane could be implemented into the future DLC and imagine Aiden vs Crane. Bringing Kyle Crane Back could do wonders for Dying Light 2 because yes it is a great game, but we all know it was unpolished, unfiished, and the story was underwhelming tbh. Adding him to the story could bring a lot of players back to the game and make it more exciting espicially if they take there time and polish it. I know this was kind of long but I wanted to get a point across that I truely believe that Kyle Cranes where about are up in the air and its all up to Techland wether they bring back the King.

Thing is volatiles don't exactly bite and infect people, and as far as we know only living people can become infected and turn, they're not the typical undead. I'd personally really like to see crane back as a self-taught scientist trying to come up with ways to turn the infected back and possibly have a whole other faction like the synths in fallout 4, the liquidator would likely know nothing but him turning either n if he did then he would know full well that he isn't the same as he was, hence is choice of wording and the fact he didn't say he died.

He was also very much without a huge crowd of people and nowhere to go, and didn't have much time to actually do anything before realizing he's infected and apt to turn at any time. Differencs is before people would get seizures until they "die" but they can't actually be dead or else they can't turn n I'm pretty sure a place like right outside the quarantine zone would have all kinds of safety deals like quarentining bitten people and antigen considering there were apparently infected people allowed to leave. But if it's literally just crane ripping through people who possibly have all of the bells and whistles to fight against him then he'd be very lucky to get very far let alone infect anyone :P

Crane turning into a zombie is the cannon ending because a nuke would 100% wipe out the virus, the intro scene to dl2 says the gre did develop a cure but a different variant broke out. Saying harran was wiped out could be a figurative meaning. Crane could or couldn’t be alive because everyone talks about him in past tense or he could be in a darkzone somewhere in the world evolving in to something entirely new

I saw video from gaming Harry a couple of months .. He showed a newspaper page that said there is still survives in harran AFTER 5 YEARS from the outbreak .. that’s a prove that cran didn’t really explode the hole city .. they might said “ wipe “ as an example of what happened to harran and how many people has been killed … Even so .. for anyone has played the first game and engaged with Kyle .. it doesn’t make since that Kyle might do anything like that .. he always fight for good and trying to help people.. The mother mentions that light brought her back after drinking the vials. in the cutscene (if you choose to fight her) crane seems to black-out and wake up further along the tunnel, every time he comes to he is near a light source meaning that as long as he is near a light source he can remain sentient so he could possibly have found a way to remain in the light and stop himself from going zombie. (When the mother says about light helping her remain human, she is inside which indicates that it may not need to be sunlight, or maybe it could just be uv)

My theory is pretty simple yet just might be true. Harran was cordoned off. It wasnt easy to get in or out of the city and the bridge, old town walls and alot more were examples. Harran was a dead zone and in the country side if you go to the damn and get off the other side, its just rocks and grass with no civilization near by (the dam is where the ending took place). Therefore hinting the dreaming is possible because there is no city and playground beyond the dam theres just a bridge and an electrical station. My theory is that crane was being messed with by the mother and she wanted him to activate the bombs yet he still refused. How else would the liquidator and spike be alive? There wasnt an easy way to leave the city and there sure as hell wasnt strong contact. I think crane went insane and just lives at the dam. There is no kyle crane anymore theres only a mad man i mean the place did have alot of supplies and the country side did have food not to mention that crane is great at parkour so he must have gone to supply every now and then. Crane became a mad man OR! He simply fought it and alot more happened like he returned to the main city via tunnel or swimming or something idk but he got back with the "cure" and maybe thats how the virus was contained in harran remember GRE made the virus reinstated not harran therefore giving us the hint that Harran was wiped off the map because it was too dangerous to enter and some humanitarian group made a rescue effort for all the survivors i mean the entire world knew that harran had living people. A skyscraper full of people surely once in 7 years someone would have shot a flare or something.

Fact that defeats that he is alive: in dying light 2 in 2 Easter eggs they reference crane. 1st one is when you talk to the liquidator, he says "he was going to save harran... but sometimes even the greatest of heroes stumble and never come back up." 2nd is his memorial, on a crane it says something about Kyle crane always being remembered. I have a wild theory.. So in the Following ending (kyle crane turning) we saw him leave to another city, yes? Maybe, if he became a sentient volatile, he stayed alone in a building that had UV after going ham when he first turned. Then one day he was.. Found and maybe captured by GRE? Theory 1 : At the start of the following DLC Lena mentions something about antizin and it running low (I think I haven't played in ages) which means harran might have just been completely overrun as we know most people in harran are infected so if DL2 is based of the sentient volatile ending then this could mean that crane could be alive. Theory 2 : maybe after he did survive but he was wiped out by global relief efforts but after the fight with "the mother" we know they have abilities and stuff so this is unlikely.

I think in the Night Hunter comic they kind of said that Kyle Crane just vanished at some point and was never heard from again. If Harran was nuked it would be an easy assumption to say he died in the blast, but they specifically said he is missing in action. Someone said this before me, but I also believe "wiped from the map" refers to the Harran being overwhelmed by the virus.

Damn, i didn't see the post. But still I'm gonna be sharing my theory nonetheless here. So, i personally believe in the ending where Crane killed the mother, left the Quarantine and then turned in a none infected area. Harran being wiped off the map could likely mean that it wasn't a regular city like the rest. It's a deathtrap with countless monsters with no way out (allegedly). And ALSO, in DL2 when Aiden talked to the old man when he found a wall filled with missing people posters, the old man says that the GRE brought containers filled with infected from Harran into the outside world in the middle of the night after they created a vaccine for the original Virus. If the nuke ending was canon, then there wouldn't be any buildings nor would they be able to find any infected and take them out of the quarantine. And i believe that Crane is still alive either as a Sentient Volatile, a sentient infected that is more powerful than the Night Hunter or simply a full feral monstrosity that surpasses both of the others.

In the comic book "banshee" it states that there were mutations of Night Hunters , or just in general, roaming through a city. The main protagonist in it got attacked by one... Keep in mind that this was long after the events of The Following - in theory, with Crane being the first hunter, he could have "reproduced" in some way when he lost his humanity at night. Wherever Aidan travels next in coming DLCs, hundreds of miles capable since he's a Pilgrim, then I believe there are more opportunities to stumble across a Hunter. "wiped from the map" may not immediately lean towards it being nuked. Can also indicate it being completely desolate without any survivors.

What if, crane escaped, turned into the night hunter and eventually gre were able to contain him and used him to create a new variant of the virus but eventually broke free, releasing the variant, once becoming sentient again he hid himself away in hopes to not damage society any further, maybe even in the castle on the hill by villedor? (I know it is/was a peacekeeper hq but let's say he was locked in the prison below ground and they had no access, in the dlc Aiden could eventually travel there, explore and accidentally release crane before then having to chase him down and cure or kill him for good)

I'm almost certain the nuke ending isn't cannon. We can see in the intro that the towers still stand, and if it's a nuke there would be no Harran left. Also, there would be news articles everywhere about how the hell a nuclear device was activated in a foreign country overrun with zombies without anyone's knowledge. Also bad blood is cannon and take's place after the fallowing, where you can see there was a bridge built across the two towers. more than likely crane is the night hunter.

did you all notice one specific detail? when kyle exits the sewers in the following he is very clearly seen wearing his normal watch, but when we supposedly see him in a "volatile" like state the watch is gone. I believe this further supports the theory that what he was seeing was most likely the mothers memories/a hallucination.

Also at 5:20 you can see a pack of cigarettes. The mother got a pack of cigarettes from her husband so, maybe it was a vision of hers? Like maybe it was a hallucination to show Crane what would happen if he took the "Cure". Just a small detail I haven't seen many people point out.

We can’t say for sure yet. For the ending to be able to go into 2 directions, it most likely forces the devs to not say anything about it. Of course I do hope that he is alive/turned. Because it could make a cool future dlc at some point.

The fact that Spike talks about crane in past tense dosnt prove shit. Was Spike there with him and the mother? No. Assuming Crane became sentient volatile he would probably try and hide himself away from society hoping he didn’t hurt anyone. Obviously Spike thinks he’s dead but that dosnt prove anything. Also the fact that Harlan was firebombed dosnt mean that him setting off the nuke was cannon either. People forget dying light 2 is set decades after the first. There are plenty of other explanations for how the city got blown up. Maybe the military finally decided to firebomb the city. My theory is that crane became a volatile and locked himself away somewhere where no one could find him and everyone thinks he’s dead.

To the guy who wrote the first theory, it does say harran was wiped off the map, but maybe they don't mean that literally, what would you do if a whole city was under a zombie plague, you would shut it off and isolate it, then remove it from any maps in the world, you wouldn't just blow it up, and Kyle wouldn't do that, as Zach brown said, it's not in his nature to do something like that.

One thing to consider is that if Crane Failed i.e. chose to not activate the nuke The GRE would have still bombed the city. haran was basically out of antecin and people were beginning to turn. I had a thought where Crane would be a main character in the story of DL2, Aiden comes into a volatile nest and notices a night hunter/volatile sitting and doing nothing. Aiden wonders what the hell was going on and suddenly hears Crane talk to him and telling him of the hell he's been through. He may fight you and try to kill you depending on your choices. Just imagine how epic that would be if it was in the game, but I guess chasing Waltz was better? idk

I find it so coincidental how Aiden sounds so similar to Crane. When I first saw the dying light 2 trailer I thought it was him because the grunting noises sound almost exactly the same. For a long time I theorized Aiden was perhaps a sibling to Crane, and he traveled to current city to look for his brother. I was disappointed that wasn’t the case.

That's because in an interview techland mentioned, the trailer that they showed was just a mock up of DL2's vision. Assets like buildings, engine, lighting and even the grunts were just mashed up from DL1's assets. Its only after that trailer they redo everything for DL2. It's kinda the same as DotA being originally a WC3 game mod, while Dota2 was redone from scratch

So I have my own theory of what happened to Kyle Crane. Obviously, the Zombie ending from the following in this theory is taken as canon, because: - In DL2 you can notice missing posters, searching for Ezgi, Brecken and Lena, which means that they could have escaped from Harran. Wouldn't be possible if nuke ending, since they just wouldn't have been able to get it far away from bomb in time, to be left untouched by explosion. - Harran is still standing, but full of infected zombies, as it was shown in start cutscene in DL2. "Wiped from the map" possibly means that there's almost no population and hope left in the city, and its barely alive. Towers from Slums still stay almost untouched in same cutscene, if nuke would explode they would turn into ruins or even into dust. - Crane wouldn't listen to a fucking Volatile, the type of zombie he hates most. He saved the Harran from being bombed, searches through the Countryside in hope to find cure, and turns back to bomb Harran by himself just because a fucking volatile said to? That's not what Crane would do, even if this Volatile would show him what would happen if he wouldn't bomb the city. - Newspaper in the DL2, talking about hundreds of survivors left in Harran 5 YEARS AFTER THE OUTBREAK in original game. Counting that Following happened around a year after the main campain, and that first outbreak happened in 2014-2015, it leaves no chances for someone to survive in Harran 5 years after the outbreak and 3-4 years after the fucking nuke exploded near Harran. No one would be able to survive. No one. Now, onto the theory. Transformation After the seen events of Zombie ending in DL:F, Kyle turns into a Sentient Night Hunter. Next thing you would say: "But he's a sentient volatile like mother!!!1111" and you would be wrong, and right at the same time. Well, you see, canonical Night Hunter is slightly different from the one shown in multiplayer gamemode - He's way bulkier, has white T-shirt on it(Just like in the official art and renders), and also can SPLIT his mouth the way like VOLATILES do(shown in "Night Generation" comic for DL2), which in compliation with Night Hunter's spit ability, may lead to opinion that Night Hunter is a successful evolution of Volatiles, which Crane could have mutated into because of combination of sentient volatile liquid he was forced to drink, and the Harran Virus, which grew stronger and stronger throughout his life in Harran and Countryside. Also we hear both Night Hunter's scream and breathing sounds(Scream is night hunter, volatiles scream differently. Breathing can be heard a couple of seconds before scream) in the Zombie ending. Obviously, this could be just Techland reusing sounds again, but its too suspicious in compilation with other proofs. Another thing I have noticed, in Crane's memorial room in DL2, there's a hidden Night Hunter's image among the Kyle Crane ones. Notice, all the images are only of Kyle, so why would someone put an image of op zombie, which Crane didn't even encountered AT CRANE'S MEMORIAL? Pretty strange, right? Also to debunk the opinion which could have been created among the people after reading "Night Generation" comic, NightHunter in it was always the same - appearance didn't changed in the first chapter and fifth chapter where he appeared, so NightHunter infact can split his mouth like Volatile and use mouth tendrils. And protagonist mentioning Hunter as "a Night Hunter" doesn't prove that there are multiple ones, because it just could have been a simple logical conclusion he came to, after thinking a bit about this monster after first encountering it - "huh, so there's a strange big overpowered zombie i just saw, if there were no ever an exclusive zombies, this means there should be more of these creatures". From the "Crane is a Volatile" theory, only proofs i have gotten from people were that "Night Hunter isn't Canon!1111", "He has Volatile hands!!!!", " He drinked the liquid, Mother who drinked it too have turned into a Volatile, so Crane is a Volatile". I have debunked all these proofs in the comment(Night Hunter isn't canon - comic proved canon, Volatile hands - he evolved into Night Hunter from Volatile, Mother drinked the liquid and is a Volatile - same thing, he evolved). Why he was in uninfected city? That's pretty simple - he found a way out of quarantine zone, isn't it so hard to accept? After Transformation Well obviously, he did survived. Most likely he slaughtered 1/3 if not 2/3 of the city, leaving nothing behind during this night. Military wouldn't take out this Night Hunter, because he appeared in the comic which happens right before DL2 game, and because in the same comic Crane survives explosion INSIDE of a building, fall from this building and explosion of gernade in front of his face, staying alive and barely damaged(Leftovers of his Volatile's extreme hardened skin, since as we know Alpha Volatiles have hardened skin, and mid-way through transformation his hands were shown as Alpha Volatile's). After the sunrise, there's 3 variants: 1) He hides somewhere, to not hurt the people in the city anymore, hiding in there until Night comes, and going out of his hide spot only after GRE's mutated THV which outbreached and caused DL2, and we may see him in DL2 or DL3(Ezgi, Brecken and Lena escape Harran through the same pathway Spike has found) 2) If he still has his earpiece, he contacts Lena and explains everything that happened to her, telling her about the hidden pathway outside of Quarantine Zone in Countryside(Ezgi, Brecken and Lena escape through same pathway Crane did). After this Night Hunter hides back into the quarantine zone, until second virus outbreak 3) Crane comes back into Harran, goes to Tower, explains everything to Lena and Brecken and shows them escape pathway on the map of Countryside which he got. Ezgi, Brecked and Lena escape through the pathway Crane discovered. Night Hunter is left in the Harran until second outbreak, and he was most likely the reason why Harran's population died out. Also debunking another popular myth - Crane isn't responsible for second outbreak. There was another comic for DL2, which explained the second virus outbreak, and that GRE is responsible for this, not Crane. I hope there's no more questions left. Oh wait, too many words. People won't understand and skip the comment. Or they already skipped after I said that Kyle turned into a Night Hunter.

Besides which detonating a nuke to kill both all infected and the survivors he was trying to save doesn’t sound like crane. That’s kinda what he worked to prevent during the vanilla story when the military were gonna fire bomb the city. So no I don’t think he detonated the nuke. Wouldn’t make sense for him to just up and say “I guess there’s no hope time to launch the nukes” As for why no one talks about him being around, that’s pretty obvious. If he’s a Sentient volatile people are probably too scared to even approach him if they see him. So spike and whoever else are from the tower probably think he’s dead since he never came back. Theres is a newspaper you can find in DL2 as a collectible. It says 5 years after the outbreak, people were still living in Harran. It's referred to as an Exclusion Zone; it doesn't *officially* exist anymore. It's not recognized by those outside of it in any major regard anymore. Hell, there's 2 or 3 I think that allude to this Nuclear Option automatically debunked in the sequel on that alone

100% alive. I don't remember where but the developers somewhere said that Crane started an infection outside of Haran by turning into a volitile. Everyone referring to the past tense has no idea if Crane is alive because they haven't seem him since. So obviously they will probably assume that he is dead considering he has not said a word in years and the human population is really small. So the chances of him being out there is really small. Also btw does Crane have to go crazy during the night? Couldn't he just put UV lights around a room and stay there for the night until he can leave? The only way that he is dead is if he killed himself to ensure that he doesn't accidentally kill innocents. Also maybe it is possible that the GRE were able to kidnap Crane and do testing on him which eventually lead to the Dying Light 2 virus. When Crane was outside it was still day time so surely he would not have bitten the family nearby? Maybe the GRE saw Crane outside the quarantine zone and capture him?

I think the part with him being a sentient volatile would be much better, why would no one be talking about it? Because he vanished, as soon as he was finished wreaking havoc on his first night and probably eating people, considering the fact volatiles don't really bite people who are living..... the people they do "bite" don't tend to live which is what is needed for an infected to be made at all so theres little chance he started a new infection chain. It would have been easy enough for the miliary to clean up the mess in that area and add more walls, or maybe after the carnage they decided to just blow the whole place up regardless of the people there. Crane upon coming back to his senses probably realizing he could only be himself in the light scoured all he could for UV lights, batteries, generators, gas, everything he could possibly use to keep himself, as himself, probably doing the whole windmill thing or finding someplace he could hide but be himself still. And apparently the virus itself was "cured"...... but what does this actually mean....? If the virus was "cured" before does that mean all the infected before were all turned back into human or did they all just die?.... And then apparently a variant was made and wiped out the rest of humanity.... meaning everyone else who wasn't in harran..... **what was the population of this world again and are we to assume this is meant to be a direct but fictional reflection of our world? Because thats a whole hell of a lot of people. Anyway I'd really like to see crane attempting to teach other volatiles how to be human again, having apparently 15 years.... or more, all to himself you would think he would get right into learning everything he could about biology and virology just because now he has the time to do it because he can't do anything else, maybe experimenting on the volatiles and others trying to bring them some amount of humanity while also trying to find a way to turn himself back but of course keeping that away because its only as long as he is a volatile that he can interact with the other infected with impunity.... But yea it would be awesome to get some quests from him, maybe have a whole town of somewhat human volatiles that were given some amount of their senses back, a whole new faction kind of like how falout 3 did with the institute, and the far harbor DLC with the 3 factions with the one being in the middle...

i feel like crane could be a very tragic character in the upcoming story DLC's for dl2, an ally during the day who was the best runner of Harran and has adapted completely to the zombie life, but also a predator at night who is a danger to everyone and every settlement around him. he is a fallen nightrunner who won't ever get back up, but he could redeem himself during the day if they decide to take that route

I think the canon ending for Dying Light is Crane decides not to nuke Harran. It doesn’t seem like a choice he’ll make, he spent years fighting for Harran’s survivors. In the dying light 2 intro, when it states “Harran was wiped from the map” or something like that, i think it meant the world stopped caring about the people stuck there because then it states “people left behind didn’t stand a chance”

The Nuke Ending for Harran would be probably the least likely outcome out of the endings. Harran could've been wiped from the map due to the amount of infected rising day by day or what's left of Rais's men killed what's left of the survivors still in the Slums. I believe the reason to why Spike and the Liquidator speak of Crane past since is because no one knew what happened to him after he entered the countryside he completely lost contact with everyone in the slums once leaving the City.

My theory: By the time Crane got to the countryside Harran was officially declared an Exclusion zone, he finds the mother, turns into a sentient volatile and kills the uninfected side of Harran. At night he starts getting flashbacks of the Mothers words to Nuke Harran. By day he goes to back to her hideout and nukes the entire countryside. Some parts we’ve never been too in Harran were destroyed but the Slums survived the Blast and everyone else died off from starvation or Infected. and before he does Spike, and Brecken made it out of Harran with survivors

Sorry but the moment Krane figured out he was a sentient volatile he would never let anyone see him again, also for the whole "Haran was wiped" could've came after Krane escaped, government or the gre could've just bombed the entire place moment word got out that the virus had escaped and thought It would be best to just take out the infections biggest power house at the time. Also, When they showed the haran exclusion zone the city was very much still intact.

Ali he was given a special serum by the mother… she was a sentient volatile and I believe he became one and moved on and away. I believe he will reappear in a spectacular way towards the end… with possibly a lead towards a cure prior to the new variant.
