Short answer: no Long answer: absolutely not Edit: to be specific, fairness is more of a narrative feature than a cosmic one. Is it fair for the cheetah to starve, or for the gazelle to be eaten? It’s nonsensical to consider this question because neither animal is narrative driven like we are. They are instinct driven. And so are we of course, but we also have convinced ourselves that we are above our primal nature, when its vestiges are obvious in all of our activities. I think the tension between our narrative and our instinct is the source of most of our psychological problems.
