Is Liforme Yoga Mat Actually Worth It?

Really helpful video. Could you please do a comparison between Liforme and similar spec yoga mats (natural rubber base + super grip polyurethane top layer) by cheaper brands (e.g. Yoga Studio, Plyopic Pro and Pro+ or others) that are made with the same materials but cost less than half price of Liforme. This would be super useful for people who don't really want to or can't pay £110 for Liforme but want that rubber+PU style mat. I'm especially interested in Plyopic pro+ which is thicker than Liforme. Thank you!

For those who practice regularly, Liforme is surely worth the price. I love the grip, the quality and the looks. Lululemon is also a very good alternative for sweaty practices. Thanks for another great video, Alexia 🧘‍♀️

Couldn't agree more! The Lululemon and Alo are very similar and good alternatives. But I would say the grip of the Liforme is the best :-)

I also practise Ashtanga and vinyasa yoga. My Liforme mat showed considerable wear after two years and I had to get rid of it about six months later when parts of the surface started flaking. I am now the happy owner of a Manduka Pro, which I have had now for over three years and which shows no sign of wear.

Ah yes I’ve had my Manduka pro for over 13 years and I still love it! Shame to hear your Liforme only lasted 2,5 years. 4-5 years is what I’ve been commonly hearing.

I wish the Liforme was a wee bit thicker. I am a Jade Harmony user because I think the grip can’t be beat. I wish it was a wee bit better for sliding into poses (like up dog)…I have yet to find a mat that does grip, glide, and cushioning. Maybe impossible?

Now there’s a challenge for yoga mat companies! I would say a broken in Manduka pro ticks those boxes, but only with dry hands.

I agree. I recently bought a Liforme mat and although the grip is exceptional, it's possible even a little too grippy. But my biggest issue is its thickness. It just doesn't cut it for me. I need knee circles for any kneeling poses because my knees are too painful. I even bought Liforme knee pad and even that on top of the mat is not enough for me. I also have Morton's neuroma between my metatarsal bones in my foot that standing on hard surfaces is quite painful. At home I put 2 mats next to each other, Liforme and and old Sweaty Betty may that's 6mm thick (it's a bit slippy but good cushioning). I do vinyasas and standing poses on Liforme and shuffle over onto SB for any kneeling and lying poses and sivasana.

Have you tried a cork mat? I use Scoria! It is perfect grip (my hands get very sweaty) & it glides lovely! Can also get different range of mat thickness. ⭐️
