Hi, I really love lightburn, but I have a question about auto-save in progress, it's happening so many times while working, and it's like the computer is frozen that time, is there a way to get that away.? Thanks
@LaserLivestream
@LaserLivestream 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, glad you joined us. I think you are asking how to turn off the autosave function in Lightburn? If you are, you can set the Auto-Save interval to 0 in the settings but be aware that it turns off the setting altogether. Otherwise, you can make the interval setting a higher number, like 10 which will only save your project every 10 minutes. Let me know if that helps! :)

Lightburn is a great product, and especially for the price. I have not updated to 1.0 yet, but will have no problem with the price increase. Lets face it, it is still barely $1 per week, and yet we have no problems spending many times that on a soft drink, coffee, or a beer.

Hello Gil. You caught me out with the that catchy title, as I know you’re strong supporter of the Lightburn software. My opinion, compared to other “Known Brands”, its cost 💲 if dramatically lower, much lower. For what you get, it’s money well spent. Thanks for the information Gil. Cheers 🍻.

I found Lightburn to be very easy to use and i am very impressed and relieved that the software is offered as a one time purchase as opposed to a subscription based format(I hate having to rent software) I have now purchased the licence for the GBRL version as i have a Sculpfun s9 machine.which works flawlessly wirh Lightburn i am also impressed with it as it cuts 6mm ply like a hot knife through butter

I used the trial for lightburn and it made my laser worth using. It was a turd with all the other software available for grbl lasers. Before lightburn, RD works was what I was comfortable with and lightburn blew it away completely. I'm happy to pay for it and as long as I'm using my laser I'll be paying for the updates yearly even though they do nothing for me. I am use inkscape to design everything so all the design features go unused by me.

LightBurn is worth it. I just looked at a program that cost around 280 US dollars and all it does is trace a bitmap. I have a vinyl cutter to make signs and now I find myself doing much of my artwork in LightBurn and exporting it as an svg. file to my sign software. Designing stuff in LightBurn is so much easier. If the updates are only $30 after the first year of ownership that is cheaper than before because it was $40 for the diode lasers. You must also understand that the value of the US dollar is dropping like a rock.

I think the bigger issue is that all those people complaining are complaining about the wrong software. Have you seen the price on 3D graphics software lately? Lightburn is a joke on prices compared to 3D software. I looked for low price 3D software and now the prices are in the Thousands of dollars. $60 ish for Lightburn is nothing. Find me a 3D design software that is worth $60 and does everything Lightburn does. IMPOSSIBLE!
