Hi Syrus, I just got back from a first time 10 day visit in London. I wasn't going to let terrorism stop me from my year planned visit. I felt safe in London, with all the CCTV's and the most friendliest Londoners all around. Your vlog tips are helpful and informative for those planning a London stay. I was a bit hyper aware of my surroundings while enjoying your city. I LOVED LONDON !!!!

I spent a few days in London in July., before arriving, i recall feeling a bit anxious about going (given the recent terror attacks). But, strangely, when i was actually in London....not once did any worrying thoughts enter my head.

Extremely helpful Syrus! I once saw an unattended bag on a tube train and announced it and they evacuated the train.... turned out it was a false alarm and the owner was in the next carriage.... but they told me i was right to be alert so that put away any embarrassment. Also, could you do a 5 ways to get out in the event of an emergency as usually they stop the trains and buses leaving me bare - that sounds rude lol!

Thank you for this great video! I also checked the Met Website and found that ifnormation useful. Thank you for pointing me to them. I will still visit London (or other cities for that matter) although an attack is no more likely than it was a few years ago. It is good to know what to do in case of an emergency and I now know what to do.

Welll done mate. I remember visiting London back in 1978 (yes I'm that old) and when we entered any government buildings or museum, we had to have a small search and have our bags and satchels inspected. But you are right the chances are slim and have no hesitation to visit London again (despite MOMI closing). Spurs won, Arsenal lost.

Thanks for this video, Syrus. A couple more tips; if you are on the Tube, and hear a page for a Mr. Sands (or Inspector Sands), be prepared to evacuate. Mr. Sands is the code for the station fire response team to get in position. Another tip is to know multiple routes to reach your destination. I'm not talking about multiple Tube lines (although this is helpful), but know which bus line to take if the Tube is closed. Finally, use social media to let your friends know you're OK, but don't rely on social media for news (see media2.wnyc.org/i/800/800/l/80/1/OTM_Consumer_Handbook_TerrorismEdition_1400.png for some good tips for interpreting the news in the immediate aftermath of a terrorist attack).

I've never felt unsafe in London, the media hypes it up too much really. If you should see anything unusual, don't get your knickers in a twist. Look around for a short man with a camera - it may just be Trollstation 'making a movie' (not hating).
