is Lost Ark dying in the West?

What Zeals mentions at 16:00 really resonated with me, I've tried to get into Lost Ark so many times but I've just never felt that sense of community or found it very easy to find a welcoming new player community. I'm starting to wonder whether part of that was just from lack of players in EUW... It's a massive shame :/

its just hard to play with new players with all the grind you have to do.I always help new people in games i nolife but i have never helped anyone in lsot ark and probably never will because i ahve so much staff to do and i need to do them asap.I play 6 chars so its always 2-3 hours the daily grind + 15-20 raids etc.

지금은 유럽과 한국의 서버 진행상황이 다른 시점에 있기에 다른 입장일 수도 있겠지만 언젠가 한국의 업데이트가 전세계적으로 같은 업데이트가 적용될 시점에는 모두 함께 즐기는 로스트아크가 되길 바랍니다. 아직은 시간을 극복하긴 이른 시점이고 여러 가지 불만도 있겠지만 새로운 해엔 그 간격이 좁혀지고 동일해질 것이라는 희망을 가지고 글을 적어 봅니다. 유럽, 아메리카 , 일본 , 러시아, 대만 많은 유저분들이 즐거운 로스트아크를 즐길 수 있는 시간이 되었으면 합니다. '-') 새해 복 많이 받으시길 바랍니다. ^^)

한국의 로스트아크도 크게 다를 바가 없을텐데... 전혀 새롭지 않은 업데이트와 고착화 되는 퀄리티, 결국 메이플과 같은 기성 RPG와 같은 수순을 밟고 있고 이는 영어권 게임이 아닌 이상 글로벌에서는 퇴물이 된다는 얘기입니다.

There was a recent bot ban wave, but they were back the next day. There's hundreds of mokokos everywhere. They ban way, way too slowly.

The amount of bots are nowhere close to the amount you had before the ban wave and you dont see bots in Punika for example. Not on Thirain EU atleast. The population is still a 1/3 of what it was. Before ban wave 350K, after Ban wave today 129K

i mean AGS has basicly said outright "we dont know how to fix the servers we are just throwing stuff at it hopign it fixes it" they just dont have the knowledge and/or talent to handle a game like lost ark and it also feels that it this point they just arent even trying

problem with trying to catch us up fast is if they go to fast free to play wont ever progress and only pay to win will benefit from it almost encouraging people to pay if they want to reach new content.

Bots are way down now. I only see a few in the usual spots. The captcha system is helping out. The ban wave helped, too.

Short answer no, the population on my server atleast is still very good. And Lost Ark still have a pretty healthy population on 129K, before the ban wave they had 350K. So the amount of bots have been cut alot.

@poopernoodle I'M on NA west prices for gems are crazy there is still bots some botter programming wasnt effected by the wipe so the AH is hosed, all mats, gems prices are rising and eradic still cannot get a good deal on anything cause its gone faster than u can click the refresh i make my gold through the AH and it takes me many hours to make enough to support my main and my alts its not how i want to spend my time but it's either that or swipe which i have for the 1st time recently as in converting royal crystals to gold i dont like that at all its one thing to buy skins with RC but i feel with the amount of time i spend in game i should be comfortable instead of struggleing just to have fun anyways sorry for my ramblings. I watched zeals video the day he released it and i feel very much as he does i am VERY angry at smileazon dont care which 1 is to blame there are equally responsible for this game and letting there customers down repeatedly one final growl, they have not reverted ANY of the failed changes they implemented for bot prevention so we are struggling and bleeding players daily because of there ineptness and more to the point not even attempting to listen to there players they string us along with "Meh"compensation's and do nothing to actually remedy the issue. The game is dying . At least Fortnite is alive and was a phenomenon and it will never die but lost arkwill die in 2023

Korean games dont last in the west. They always have pay2win elements and as soon as that established. The game is doomed. Also Amazon just recently lost a bunch of players with their bot bans.

Not necesarily true, BDO for example is still popular in the west with a 20-24K pop on Steam and they also have accounts outside of Steam. Probably twice the amount so with Steam and the normal BDO account they maybe have 40K players. Lost ark atm got 129K, before ban wave they had 350K, so alot of bots have been cut from the overall population but lets say Lost ark have 80K players still, thats a good number for a mmorpg. Lost ark is in no danger of dying.

Lost Ark is literally a reskin of Maplestory 2 and it failed badly in USA it got shutdown in 2 years lmfaoo
