Yes! ADDENDUM: Mario really does get the shaft when it comes to relationships! At least with Luigi and Daisy, there are implications of a closer relationship; and since their personal lives aren’t in focus, it’s not impossible that Luigi and Daisy have a romance with each other behind the scenes. Mario on the other hand, after Super Mario Odyssey, it’s now canon that Peach doesn’t have much of a close feeling towards Mario. She was apparently pressured to choose between her hero and her kidnapper: a decision that she couldn’t pick and rejected them both!

I've always liked Luigi more. Partly just for the color scheme/design when he diverged from being a 100% palette swap. And part Luigi being the younger brother underdog who gets a bit more personality now and then, not that either are exactly deep characters in general.

Easy, Mario is a happy go-lucky guy. Almost every time you see him, he has a very contagious smile on his face. He's also a hero. He saves anyone and everyone. Peach, Luigi, the Toads, the Sprixies, sentient objects and many more. Luigi doesn't really make any efforts to do anything noteworthy. When he does, he does a lot, but not nearly as much as Mario. Really, it's no wonder why Mario is more popular. He's been everywhere, done many things, met many people. Luigi spends most of his time at home, not really bothering to go out.

It's obviously Luigi, because Luigi is an actual video game character, whereas Mario is Intellectual Property and nothing else. When Luigi does something, it actually feels like he's overcome something. These days, usually that cowardice thing. Mario is Princess Peachstool's personal fucking Terminator who starts running and jumping to the right until he reaches Bowser's bedroom, presumably while he's boffing his princess.

I'm... Not sure why he listed all those games of that were supposedly without Luigi... Most of those have Luigi in them aswell, especially all the team stuff... Also, the Wario games and such aren't even centered on Mario to start with, they just happen in the same universe or perhaps one universe over, and if your to say it's because Mario is in those universes, then the same can be said for Luigi, why were those in there? ... And I'm not sure what he was hoping to accomplish with some of the games either, some aren't even remembered fondly by people, heck some most people never even heard of.

Jack missed a lot of games on the list, and the fact that about half of those games he did mention feature both of the Mario brothers further hurts his point. All of the Mario Party, Mario Kart and various sports titles with Mario in the title feature Luigi as a playable character, and those alone account for at least 40% of games with Mario in the title. There are 10 numbered Mario Party games alone.

Let's be honest here, Wario is better than them both. 1. he threw is shoe at mario and leapt through a window when you beat him in mario land 2. 2. he doesn't want love, just money and at times he's actually happy. No chasing after stuff that he has. 3. He never once decided to be a good guy like bowser does, even if he wanted to save the world; he does it for himself. 4. He's immortal. As in he literally cannot be killed and the biggest reason: 5. He gave Waluigi a place to stay. Granted we never saw but, why else would the guy hang around with wario? I bet wario doesn't even charge him rent! Probably just 70% of all waluigi's tennis winnings :D

When I was young, I was friends with 2 neighborhood brothers. When we would play Nintendo, mainly Mario, they would argue and fight over who got to be player 1 and play as Mario. Fortunately, I had Super Mario All-Stars on the Super Nintendo. I made up this fib that since the Luigi sprite was taller, that gave him a jumping and reaching advantage, so player 2 had an advantage. Now of course when we played on the NES at their house, that "advantage" did not exist because the sprites were just a color swap and the arguing and fighting would begin again, but it at least brought peace for a bit.

I look at it this way. Mario is a grizzly/black bear. Everyone loves bears. Grizzly and black bears are generalists who represent the standard of bears. He's pretty cute. And, Luigi is a smiling baby panda. One group might be objectively better at being a "bear" than the other, but Luigi is so cute; he's too cute! I want to hug him because I love him with all my heart and he's doing his best, and needs to be protected at all costs. I guess by that logic, Wario is a polar bear and Waluigi is a sloth bear.

I prefer Luigi personally, but I really prefer the Marios together like in the probably lost and gone M and L games. Mario might be my entry way into RPGs and sports games (infact both him and Sonic taught me at a young age that the Olympics is a thing lol), but I prefer luigi's cowardly yet heroic nature

To add a point in Mario's favor, if you've played any of the RPGs, I'd say Mario does get some pretty good personality development in those, something that often enough alot of people overlook because they aren't main series games. Plus, read the Super Mario Adventures Comic. That comic is really good and gives all the characters, even Peach, really fun personalities.

It's a style of public speaking, if you notice he rarely ever studders, trips over words or phrases, or uses fillers like 'Uhh'. You have to speak like in debates, it makes it harder for your opponent to poke holes in your argument. He's probably leaning into it because of the format of the show.
